I spent the better part of December rewatching most of your reviews, starting around the Starfoxathon and leading up to Twelve Days of TGX-Mas 2020. The ending of this video legitimately gave me chills. I just stared at the screen for a minute and thought to myself "What now?" I know you said that if you were to come back after this that the approach to making content would be different. Whether you come back or not, I definitely witnessed the end of an era today. You've had a rough life, some of which you've revealed through your videos, some I've been privy to privately, and plenty I'm sure that none of us will ever know. Godspeed, Curt. I hope you finally find the place you truly belong.

It seems that we have reached the end of an era, and I want to thank you for it. I have been subbed to you for 4 years, and a patron of yours for at least 2 and I absolutely love your writing style and personality. I've had some tough times myself, and you have helped me get through those. I watch a video of yours every day before bed, I've seen literally all of them. I always question how you don'y have 5 times the amount of subs, and 10 times the amount of views as you get. Because I have watched a lot of content creators on here, and you sir are the best in my opinion. Such a great combination of critical analysis, comedy and personality. I will never get sick of watching your art. You have great talent, and I'm sure you will dominate at whatever you choose to do next. Thank you for everything you've done for me, I appreciate you Curt.

This was a bittersweet finale. Felt like a proper conclusionary statement. A lot more than the abrupt Mega Man 11 which had a rendition of "We'll Meet Again." The montage of the episodes with that song playing throughout it was especially great and that final shot really sold it. Amazing review to send off the series, Curt. Best of luck to you on your future endeavors. The life of a content creator is difficult. Feels like every time a passion project is done, you wonder how long this can keep going as editing in itself is a time investment. And sometimes the payoff isn't always worth it, and other times you can feel on top of the world. It's a rollercoaster of dopamine highs and lows. So I sincerely mean the best of luck for the next step in your life.

He seems real and relates more to us average viewers because you can percieve his emotions through out his videos he has put out. Most channels put on a fake persona, drama, or just fake in general but this dude is legit. Ive been watching since early highschool man and now im halfway done with University. "It was a bittersweet moment; the end of the road always is." I have been watching your content since your original Spyro videos before they got remade (some twice) and it has been quite the journey watching you grow over these years. There's always been something about your content that has kept me engaged. I've never been able to put my finger on it until now: Growth. This was me watching you grow as not only a content creator, but a person. While this may be the (current) end of your content, I will always cherish what you gave us as a community. I'm going to miss you Kurt, but I wish you nothing but good luck and happiness in your future. Should you ever return, I will happily continue to support you and whatever direction you may take your content in. Until that day comes, I'll have the legacy you left on the platform. I don't want anymore sequels to Infamous. Just Remaster the two PS3 games with all the dlc. I kind of would like both Resistance and Killzone to return, but more as reboots. Didn't like how both 3rd games ended. Killzone Shadow Fall was pretty bad though. Too many sequels can ruin a franchise, looking at you Halo post Bungie.

Curt, you've brought me a lot of joy and laughter over the past four years. I've watched, rewatched, and rerewatched your videos -- my favorites have to be the retrospective of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, 2, and 3, and the Wrath of Cortex review. You're still one of my favorite KZbinrs. If this is the end of TGX Game Reviews, I wish you all the best in whatever you do. I stopped making videos myself this year, and it really is bittersweet knowing what you're leaving behind. Yet, you gotta do what you gotta do. Although, if you do plan to come back at some point, don't forget that soon we'll be in 2021 -- your 10th anniversary. I remember you said during your Sparx Pond video that you want to review your favorite game in 2021...but during this past TGXmas you also mentioned that your favorite games are always changing, so maybe you've decided that video wasn't meant to be? Regardless, I want you to know how much your videos have meant to me since I started watching in late 2016. Best of luck to you, my friend! I wish you nothing but happiness and success.

Been a fan of your reviews for almost a couple years now, sad to see you go for however long it will be. But, you should only make these if you want to, and if your path in life leads you to better pastures then that's what you should do. Hearing your opinions on these games has really got me to rethink the reasons behind why I like the games that I do and better appreciate ones I hadn't liked as much before. Plus, I enjoy hearing about some of the points you make that I might disagree with as you articulate them well and open my eyes to opinions other than my own. Another option for second son being cannon is that the new conduits could have been the offspring of people who were conduits (powers or not). Could have simply been set like 20 years after the events of the first game. Would have needed a pretty different story but would’ve made it make more sense with the good ending of 2 being canon.

Infamous 2 is definitely one of the best games ever made. Knew very little about the franchise and decided to play both games back to back one summer and had a blast the whole time. Cole's one of the main reasons why I always wanted electric powers as a kid, and the good ending truly defines what it means to be selfless and make the ultimate sacrifice.

If you want to play a game that utilizes it's physics engine for gameplay, check out Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy for Xbox/PS2. It's a third person shooter mainly built around having telekinesis in environments with a physics engine. You can pick up and throw, in any direction, tons of objects as well as the enemies. You can even stand on something like a crate, pick it up with telekinesis, and fly around on it. You also get other psychic powers, like mind control for taking over enemies. You can run around "in disguise" since you're an enemy and then start attacking other enemies, and you can make the person your possessing blow their brains out. You get remote viewing, which basically works like an invisible first person camera that can go through closed doors so you can see what's in rooms ahead of you. You get pyrokinesis, which allows you to send out a wall of flame and set enemies and objects on fire, and you could throw things that were on fire at other enemies/objects to set them on fire. All of these powers used an energy bar, which you replenished with consumables you could find, or by draining enemy's brains until their heads exploded. It was a really fun game, pretty ahead of it's time as far as the telekinesis and physics stuff. Unfortunately the developer that made it, Midway, went bankrupt a few years after the 360 came out, so we'll never see a sequel or remaster. But the game still absolutely holds up and I can't recommend it enough
@TerrorOfTalos3 жыл бұрын
When I got my PS3 it was an infamous 2 bundle and I'll never forget what an impression this game left on me, as both a general game and a new console game experience. I do like infamous 1 but I'm not sure if I'd look back as fondly on that if it was the first game I played on it instead, although I do remember playing it on one of those best buy kiosks but that's a different experience which I barely remembered even back in 2011. Great review though, made me think about giving the game another full replay as everytime I boot it up to play it again I just mess around in the world lol. As for that RaC segment yeah it's obvious the series wasn't in the best state after CiT but I'd argue it wasn't awful just meh and inoffensive as far as quality drops in a series go (spin offs should never hold to main game quality standards). Also ToD might be boring to you because admittedly it's mostly more of the same core gameplay with little notable changed or added but after my replay earlier this year I can't give it less than an 8/10 (maybe a 7 as a comparative sequel) because it doesn't really make the core gameplay any worse and holds up amazingly well for an early 7th gen game despite some minor technical issues. Now for as how Rift Apart will turn out, well due to current circumstances with Insomniac and what has been shown/current known information I think it'll be at least on par with CiT gameplay wise. If this is truly your last video on this channel (at least for sometime) I'll just say that you really should have more views and subs for the amount of effort you've put into your content, I can't imagine how long it must take for production and editing especially since you're doing it all by yourself, anyways take care man.

Red Faction: Guerilla is a fun physics-centric game. Namely, different ways to destroy buildings (a hammer, remote mines, disintegration gun, etc). It’s one of my favourite PS3 games. Haven’t gotten to the end of the video yet, but based on the comments it looks like you’re leaving. I recently joined (I think sometime early this year, maybe last) but it’s sad to see you go. @@RegretfulDeadMan Thanks for spoiling me yet again; about when it happens. I should say it straight out: I am transgender, and when I found you (late 2016), I had just finished two years of conversion therapy, forced on me by unaccepting parents. One of the lowest points of my life. I craved nothing but death, had no friends, suffering from gender dysphoria, and just had no hope for the future, or anything positive going on in my life. Your videos I immediately grew attached to, between your sense of humor that matched my own perfectly at the time, and your well-thought-out opinions which kept me coming back, you have been a genuine bright spot these last few years of pure hell. Everytime I saw a new video, I got excited, it meant escapism for a small bit. A small bit where I didn't have to think about my abusers, dysphoria, or anything else I was going through at the time. This year, I finally had no choice: it was transition or die. So, I started transitioning. Then, I was forced to leave my job because of it, and then I ran away from my abusers and ended up homeless. Just recently, thanks to some social programs, I have ended up in apartment, but still no job. That happened just two weeks ago. So, in many ways, like how you ended, it feels like a turning point in some ways, like, it's time to find greener pastures. Time to move on in life, finally. So, for me, having found your channel just as the toughest years of my life were beginning and then watching your channel end just as I have the chance to make something of my life for once, it feels like the end of era in my life, in several different ways, one, for my KZbin watching, and two, for my life. I guess it really just made me realize that latter point. So, anyway, thank you for your content and I wish nothing but the best for you.

The "Fuck Ugly" design of the first game was on purpose.... imagine a nuke going off in manhattan and then the city being quarantined from the rest of the country. The theme they were going for was that everyone was depressed and that people's lives couldn't get any worse. Cole's powers further reflected this imagery in that if you played as the hero, then you basically stood as the shining beacon in the darkness that contrasted heavily with everything else. Alternatively, going infamous, cole's power, while still striking, blends more with the dark atmosphere of the city. New Marais felt cheap for me because unlike the first game, the city acted more like a playground and not as a character in itself.

I have to disagree regarding Last of Us 2, cause at the end of the day life isn't fair. We have real life heroes that die in just as brutal and worse ways than Joel did. It's not realistic for every person to die a hero death and go out in a blaze of glory, and as for Abby there are women in real life with a similar body type (though those same women are also bullied and made fun of on the internet as well, so can't say I'm surprised). Though regardless, I respect your opinion and while we may disagree on some things I do enjoy watching your content. I know you said you're taking a break, but I am interested on your thoughts regarding Crash bandicoot 4, Sackboy a big adventure, and Astrobot, the 3 platforming games that are getting the most traction these days.

The theme of The Last of Us is the small glimmer of hope in the darkness. Killing off Joel that way was a spit in the face of the first game. Yes, real life can be crappy, thats all the more reason to find that glimmer of hope in fiction.

@@nashthrashington9749 a small glimmer of hope for who exactly? Ellie hoped that her immunity and body could be used to make a cure, but Joel took that hope away from her. The fireflies hoped to be able to make a cure, but Joel took that away from them also, as well as murdering the vast majority of them.

@@nashthrashington9749 To be honest if Joel was still alive everyone would give the last of 2 as to be the greatest game of the year of 2020-2021 if they want make part three and say that was illusion of Joel died by Abby that was a nightmare that ellie had. That would be better than the actual main character die they should have give ellie nightmare so she can tell Joel all about so she can prevent him dying problem s would be great game if they give a flashback of dying scene to prevent him from dying as main character Joel wouldn't have died if they just reboot the last of us part 2 so he lives instead picking a character of a different good character to take the fall instead of Joel thats why people hate the game because Joel died thats why they regret playing this game. They need to do part three make longer so that Joel be alive and have a random major vill antagonist and zay that Abby and ellie are best friends if they can pull that off and say Abby is good an she found someone killed her dad instead of joel.
