How do you get the water to keep running with lid open? I JUST got it and trying to do laundry with water running to add the liquid detergent mixed in

@@HOA4157 It doesn’t. I had to get used to it. It will pause when it’s open, and you have to press the button to resume. If you leave it open, it will drain. Hope that helps.

Softener destroys washers .. pods clog top loaders and pods have to go under the clothes for even cleaning God Bless .

The amana 4516 is a much better washer because it has a dual action agitator. The problem with yours is the impeller and agitator are one single piece, so it's just an impeller with an extension on it. Not a true agitator like the 4516 has.

@@ToniaTutorials That's fine. I am just saying that "agitator" is useless. It's just a new style impeller washer with an extension on it. It does absolutely nothing to agitate. If you like the new impeller washers, you're better off getting one without the pole on it as it will increase your capacity.

@@ToniaTutorials Easiest way to tell if it is just an impeller with a pole on it, is if you turn the "pole" physically with your hand, the entire unit spins including the impeller - because it's just one piece. If it is a true agitator, when you turn it only the top section will turn. The impeller won't move. That's because with a true agitator, the impeller spins the opposite direction of the agitator and that's why they call it "dual action". The dual action is a lot more effective cleaning, but the downside is it will wear your clothes out faster.

I have this washer. If you want you clothes to stink choose the lowest water setting. More people are buying speed queens because they use tge approiate amount of water to actuslly CLEAN CLOTHES. Old school tech wins over he.
