@hishamochicosplay2 жыл бұрын
Some of the ghosts in Japan change their attire accordingly to the time period they’re in to blend in with humans so they don’t stick out like a sore thumb when they’re looking for victims. In Japan it’s completely normal to be wearing a face mask in public, even before the COVID pandemic. So it only makes sense the Kuchisake Onna would take advantage of Japan’s societal norms by hiding her disfigured face with a mask to appear as a normal long haired woman wearing a pea coat and heels. Her legend is mainly used to scare little kids into avoiding talking to strangers when walking home from school. Most people around the world tell ghost stories to their kids to scare them shitless into behaving and making them less tempted to disobey their parents. A ghost story told to a child is often scarier than the truth of what kind of sick and twisted people out there do to the people they choose as their victims. A lot of people in Asian countries are very superstitious, so they genuinely believe in these ghost stories like it’s the utmost truth in their society. Most ghosts I’ve heard of in Asian countries are vengeful female spirits that often died in childbirth or died a violent death. Some of the ghosts are spirits of children who died after birth and weren’t given proper burial rites. Sometimes the ghosts are evil people who were reborn in the afterlife as vampiric demons who prey on the flesh and blood of their victims.

Ironically, that bloody axe is probably one of the best evidence to free him from police suspicion, as the killing is done by a large scissor. Even if the police wants to pin on him so hard, unless they can find the scissors used to murder Seiji and connected it to Akio by concrete evidence of handprints or something else, their case is probably really weak. There is also the logic of why he would not used the axe to kill Seiji, considering he got one, only to then covered the axe in blood while throwing away the murder weapon…an axe is definitely more effective to kill a person with than a scissor. Akio’s lawyer can easily made an argument that Akio saw an intruder who posed as Kuchisake Onna murder his colleague, and due to his superstition and texts he found in the house, he covered the axe he found with his dead colleague’s blood to defend himself against the supposed murderous intruder. Since Seiji’s body is not covered with wounds from axe attack, and not enough Seiji’s blood found on Akio’s body, it’s not enough to jailed Akio just by using the bloody axe as evidence.

Speaking of the Slit-Mouth Woman, I heard that if "she" asks you if she's pretty, you aren't suppose to answer it since both yes and no always results in it slicing your mouth. Instead, either ignore "her" or just say "I'm busy" and run off.

I feel like a good writer could write a game where the slit mouthed woman is the protagonist, walking on eggshells around a jealous and abusive husband, only to be disfigured and killed by him in a fit of rage. Later she takes out her anger on him and others. Maybe then you play someone being hunted by her, maybe her story parallels problems they face in their own life, maybe they find a way to save her spirit, maybe not? Just... something other than a generic "run through a scary house while being chased" game where the killer can easily be swapped out for any other

@AtriasNaradan2 жыл бұрын
Well, it does says that he only need to splash her with the victim’s blood in the first place. She’s basically banished once she got into contact with her victim’s blood, no lethal physical force needed whatsoever, the victim’s blood acts like a holy water. So the blood covered axe is really just need to be tapped on her. That’s why she’s saying “dame dame…”, which in English is something like “no, please don’t”, once she saw the blood covered tool. Akio can technically used anything that can carried Seiji’s blood, even his own hand or some of the items in his pocket…him choosing to use the axe though, ironically what ended up saving him from being jailed for Seiji’s murder. If he choose to cover the other items in Seiji’s blood, instead of the axe, the police can still easily suspect him for throwing away the murder weapon, and used the fact that he got a non-weaponized item covered with Seiji’s blood on him as an evidence of guilt. By using the axe, it shows that the blood on it can’t be from murder, while there is no reason for the murderer to use stabbing weapon to murder if he got an axe, to only covered the axe with blood later on.

The family puzzle (pause at 13:45 for the clues) is a lot more complicated than the way you explained, so for those who are wondering: Because the youngest is not the same gender as the victim - the youngest is not the victim. We know that the helper is older than the victim (older child or a parent) - helper must be a parent. Because the witness is not the same gender as the oldest (the father) - the witness is female. Helper is different gender to witness - helper is male, and we know is a parent - so father is helper. Because we know the youngest is not the killer or the victim, they are the witness - witness is the daughter, daughter is youngest. As we know the victim is male and not the father, victim is son. Which leaves the mother as killer. I assume you worked all this out and cut from the video, but I had to sit down and work out how you ruled all the others out!

I even watched a japanese urban legend show (i wish I remembered what it was called) that had an episode based on the slit-mouth woman and from what I've read/heard. The correct answer is to try and confuse her and then run away. If you say no she gets angry and executes her victim one way, if you say yes she thinks you are lying and executes you, if you say I don't know she gets angry, if you confuse her then run away she will not chase. But it is an urban legend so there are stories that will say you must say No or Yes, etc but the common one I found was confuse her and run.

I don't remember when I found your channel but I've been enjoying the content for years. Especially the crass reactions to the crappy horror games 😂😂😂 this one is actually decent imo. Love the content and keep up the good work 👍🏾

I suspect that the reason those potted plants are trembling is because they are assets made for _outdoor_ usage and so they have an idle animation to make them look a bit more natural in an environment that should have wind. Of course, in a fully enclosed space that otherwise subtle animation is very noticeable. I figure there would be an option to disable that animation so they could be used for interior maps, but its also a small detail that likely got passed over (and honestly if I had limited time/resources to work out the kinks here, the trembling plants would not be the first concern)

Gosh the callback to Urban Legends Jeff the Killer. That was so long ago it feels like a fever dream. This game was cute if not a bit too silly. This legend did always remind me a bit of Jeff with the "am I beautiful? I'll make you beautiful, too :)" Can't believe you'd call comments chat. It's like you don't even love either of us

I read along time there is a escape to this. Neither say “yes” or “no”. Instead say “I hear my mother calling and I must go". Supposedly you get away.
