There were definitely some good ideas in the show based upon the original Biohazard lore. But the teen drama stuff was too plentiful as were the random song drops. But the mysteries in the show are great and the reveals/payoffs are engaging. Wesker's issues are explained gloriously.

It’s funny until you realise there’s people that actually, and non-ironically, say they believe in ghosts.

I came back to watch John's "Sentient" gameplay after starting another streamer's video in which he plays a game called "Another Hope" from another studio that really, *really* blatantly stole this game's concept and gameplay. And not only this, they're charging $8 for it versus this far superior original concept that was free. :|

I don't really play horror games, so I went into Signalis as a somewhat of an outsider to the genre. I more of appreciate them from a distance for their narratives, aesthetics, sound design, atmosphere and soundtracks. But decided to finally bite the bullet with Signalis specifically and I thought it was good. Maybe this sort of inventory management mixed with having to plan out routes and the way you engage with different enemies works for me. Especially when mixed in with a narrative that is laid out like a slowly unraveling puzzle that reveals where it is going with its world building. I approached the game with the idea that it would be sci-fi Silent Hill 1 with some SH2 aspects, and for the most part it kinda is, but then the world building threw a curve ball at me with becoming more Persona 1 than Silent Hill 1. It started as SH1 with the philosopher's stone/self actualization, the setting and the overall ideas with occasional Jungian concepts, but then it full on confirms that the mentions of Personas do relate to the concept of Collective Unconscious and Synchronization. The whole Gestalt Replika system is manufacturing of archetypes and personas based on the said archetypes, the said archetypes being based on the guidance of the Collective Unconscious which those with Bioresonance tap into. And the whole tech behind replikas is based on the bioresonance, hence the real reason why persona degradation is an issue is because the replika unit will cease being in sync with the archetype and thus the Collective Unconscious. It's that shift in the world building that I really liked because it makes everything click. How does this setting know about stuff that its creator was never to witness? Because through Collective Unconscious that knowledge can be obtained. How can any fake person show resemblance of the real ones? Because again all minds are from the Collective Unconscious. The Collective Unconscious in this case being called as the Sea of Flesh. So for me the game works because it's about thoughtful resource management, exploration of areas with good puzzles. And the narrative itself is also a puzzle that rewards knowing a whole bunch of concepts like Jungian Psychology, Alchemy, some Gnosticism (Aeon), I guess it also doesn't hurt to know about buddhism and hinduism since the tale deals with a sort of samsara. The King in Yellow is also there, but it's more of an implication about this being basically another entry in that collection of stories. It's this sort of stuff that works for me personally. Still would've liked more boss fights, 3 feels way too little.

I wanted ghosts to be real, but after fighting Russians in Ukraine. I can tell you 100%, that humans are far more scary than anythong else in the world. Everything can be explained and its usually the most boring simplest thing is the answer. Example the bike at the beginning of the video being on a freaking car. I get it thought, it would make life much less boring if ghosts or anything paranormal was true.

If I owned that house I'd have live cams setup , blutooth speakers hidden all over , solenoids if I wanted to be excessive, but I think you could do alot of tricks with less advanced materials. People visiting are usually already sold on the paranormal. Having these hosts actually make it seem more fake opposed to if you just had the place rigged and monitored by someone who can trigger whatever...

Hey John! Long time viewer here I believe it was the right call to start moving onto greener pastures, though debunking cheaply made farting ghosts videos made by two-viewer tiktokers seems beneth you. Personally I think that your "let's play" best moments were late 2021, 2019 with the retrospectives and the random horror games, also the puppet combo rush a bit before that. Nowadays horror games have become rather repetitive for me, much more for you with such an extensive carrer as a streamer. I feel that game-wise as you started to get more aquainted with development plights the "harshly critical" became more of a "hardly critical". As a viewer I prefer either interesting, compelling stories such as your new series on goosebumps or laughly bad content as INSANITY, Jeff the killer fanfic. Keep on the good work!

Hey, John! About the Félix Bulnes Hospital (43:00), that is the Hospital that was at the district of Quinta Normal. After the earthquake of 2010 it got closed off because it is structurally dangerous. The new and modern one you looked in google is a new (2020) hospital in a different part of the city. I found a video that shows the inside of the closed off one (its a paranormal investigation, haha), in case you want to check it out --> "(53) Hospital abandonado Felix Bulnes, lamentos del pasado" here on youtube

I’m a believer in the paranormal, I like ghosts and spooky stuff. And I can admit these videos are cheesy and bad. Just because some videos were faked doesn’t meant ghosts aren’t real, you’re free to believe in ghosts. So I don’t get the disregard people have for your vids. Not every video of ghosts need to be real for ghosts to be real, there can be fake videos. Like if I edit a video of me making a full court shot, that fake video doesn’t mean all full court shots are fake.
