When my husband Bruce McCraw was a teenager and attended a Marty Robbins concert with his dad, Marty asked him to come on stage and sing at the piano with him. While Marty accompanied him on the piano, my husband gave his best performance of one of Marty's hits. Marty through back his head and laughed in delight when Bruce hit the high falsetto note Marty was so well known for! It was a real highlight of my husband's life! He'll never forget being accompanied by this GIANT entertainer!

Man, old Hank would have loved this song. Almost like he wrote it from the grave. My daddy loved Hank. In his last years on this earth, he introduced this song to me many years ago. I never even knew when I was a kid. He was busy belting out Ole Hank. I see now from old family history and old stories, Dad kept this song to himself. He used to walk our land and us kids saw him from a distance crying. Never knew the song till his dying days. Glad I know it now. Miss you pops.
