Am I The Only Western Tourist In Bikaner, India?

After an uncomfortable 7 hour bus ride from Ajmer, I arrived in the city of Bikaner. Judging by the looks I was getting from the locals as I tried to find my hotel and the less than friendly reaction of the street dogs, Bikaner was not used to having many western tourists!
I discovered a dusty, desert city with some impressive architecture and a great fort. Finding coffee was a little more difficult!
The people were extremely friendly and I enjoyed my stay here. I would recommend it it to other travellers of the Rajasthan region.

Rajasthan gets millions of tourists including westerners.. This is off season...nobody visits rajasthan in summer.. Too hot.

Yep, ATM's, Coffee shops, for that matter any advertised facilities rarely work. Its a long way to go as far as reliable services and being tourist friendly. No wonder Thailand and China are the most revisited countries whereas India with its rich historical sites and heritage does not draw repeat visitors. That waffle shop was a joke . 😅
