I love that you are thoughtful of all of us normie gardeners! Thank you for recognising that many can't afford everything they want. Many channels do make it seem unattainable and over the top, getting so much for free...😢 So, thank you for keeping it real for many people!

Thank you for talking about the cost aspect of gardening. So many creators start off financially the same as those watching them after a while they increase how much they spend, which is usually more than most can afford. I’ve watched many creators that I love go beyond my ability which makes watching some of the videos no longer enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong I am happy for them and love the ideas they give but if the videos are constantly unaffordable to most, I will move on. Thank you for keeping it realistic, though we do enjoy watching you grow.

You should do a video of plants that make a big impact with just one. It's definitely something more of us relate to than not! 😀

Robbie I love that we see your dead plants and learn from how they may have died. Many you tubers don’t show us those plants, as if we actually believe nothing dies in their garden.🙄 I have a question. What’s the best advice you got but didn’t follow. What’s the worst advice that you did follow?

My experience in CA zone 9A is California poppies, sweet peas, hollyhocks and nigella are wonderful direct sown in November before winter rains. Jupiter’s beard, Mexican evening primrose and Dusty Miller self sew if you purchase a few plants…they will cast seed everywhere. These are also seasonal Spring bloomers, low water requirements.

I organized all my plant tags this past winter! I used a binder with some photo album sheets and some clear pockets from Amazon. I divide them by categories (trees, evergreens, deciduous shrubs, perennials, etc.) I also tried to remember when they were planted and wrote that on the tag if I knew. Since I did the binder, I find myself putting the tags in a pot for a while and then once I have a little stack I sit down and categorize them in the binder. I am type A and find the organizing satisfying!

Hi Robbie, Love the Fuchsia over your right shoulder. When I was a kid living in Northern California, my mom had several standard Fuchsias planted directly in the ground in her side yard. They were beautiful! Have you ever thought about trying some in your stunning side yard? Thank you for keeping it real!

I keep my plant tags and put them in the old photo albums (large size).... remember those? If there is something I want to remember about the plant, whether it's a keeper or not or if there were issues with the plant - I add that note next to the tag. Your suggestion of separating the annuals from perennials is a great one.

Another great video Robbie!! I wanted to give you a suggestion for storing your plant tags. I use cheap photo albums. Sometimes you can put more than one tag in a slot. I keep them in order of purchase so I can find stuff faster because I can remember how old or new a plant is. I also have a bigger photo album with my empty seed packets. This works VERY well for me, you should definitely try this out!! Keep up the good work! Talk to ya soon!

Oh Robbie, you always make me laugh and are a joy to watch. With all fairness regarding the “red” plants you planted for Brent I was honestly thinking he might say that those were not red as you were planting them 😅. Maybe you can take him on a planting shopping trip and have him choose the plants he wants and have a designated area in YOUR 🤭 garden just for his red plants. Perhaps he will appreciate it a lot more that way. He helps you and supports you so much around the garden he deserves it ❤.

I have a giraffe tools one! It’s been working great so far. And I’m not that gentle lol. I think if any of them work for you and obviously don’t show up broken 😅 they are 100% worth it. I need two more now so my husband can get his sanity back when I leave hoses all over (which is always-cause I’m just going to need them tomorrow too!). 😂 wait. I need three. I lied haha. My husband has my birthday and Christmas and Mother’s Day gifts secured for the next year.

Okay. I have to weigh in on the neighbor's lilac tree/ weed trees. This is not to shame you or anyone else. I have had to deal with neighbors plantings taking over my fences and invading yard. There could be extending circumstances that have caused them to be #1-unable to do the work themselves, #2- they're afraid to ask for help, especially if they are aged or unable to afford hiring someone,#3- they could careless one way or the other! If you would perfer to live with it, fine. But, maybe. Just maybe they love that lilac bush and would welcome some help. Think about it. Filming it, and seeing the relief and joy it may give your neighbor and you just might be worth it. Okay, I have actually asked my neighbors if I could work inside their yard along the fence line to clean it up and they did not mind at all. Because they weren't going to do it. But, I was determined to and at 61 I went for it with hand tools , a shovel, a rake and yard bags and I got it done. It was worth it to me to save my fence. It was so bad. After that I maintain the fence regularly qith no more over growth. I hope you don't feel lectured because I wasn't. When the temperature is cooler like the late fall is best, but I didn't in the summer 9a. I now live in 9b/10 in west Central Florida. And just have a few narrow board gardens. So mot so much so to do.

Good Morning Robbie! I am on a rental property because with my husband’s jobs we move wherever he’s needed! So, I can only afford so much in garden beds I have started! So thank you for helping me figure out what and how many things I can buy! I won’t be able to take anything with me! The landlord loves it, but I’m never sure the next renter will even care! I would love to do more containers, but I couldn’t take them with me! I just do what I can and not worry about what happens next! Plus, everywhere we go the soil is so different! I really appreciate your videos! ♥️♥️♥️

Robbie there is a sealant that you can paint (I use what ever paint I have around) on the inside of terra cotta pots to help so it won’t wick out all the water. As a gardener I’d rather spend my money on plants than anything else. I love how down to earth you are. 🌻🧡

I think by the time you have to replace non hose link hoses year after year in the end hose link actually saves $ . The only thing I end up replacing is the spray nozzle.

Also, starting seeds outside instead of indoors allows for insect pressure before the plants are big enough to make it.
