Most of those plants we think is from Kerala was brought to Kerala from Africa and other tropical continents by Portuguese to Kerala. Before Kerala got populated by humans coconut was not that common. Bio diversity gone thanks to malayalees

I agree with most of what you said except coconut. It is true that most of what we eat was brought to us by the Portuguese from South America. Chilly, Tapioca, Potato, Beetroot, Carrot, Apple, Guava, cashew nuts, and a whole lot more! But coconut was always a trademark of Kerala. In olden days, the population of Kerala wasn't this big and Kottayam was considered hill country. And rice with coconut was the staple food of everyone. Most people stayed near the costal areas back then. Near the big cities of that time. Thiruvanathapuram, Kollam, Kochi Kozhikode etc. Coconut was available in great amounts.

So as population decreases people move to closer to cities and as it increases they grow outwards. Bio diversity always seems to come back. See Europe as an example of population declining and Bangladesh as an example of Population increasing on a massive scale. People in Bangladesh are moving to Forests like never before.
