Ingredients
Potato-3medium
Green chilli-3
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Chilli Powder-1/4tsp
Salt-
Onion-1/2
Ginger-1tsp
Curry leaves-
Oil-11/2tbsp
Mustard seeds-1/2tsp
Urad dal-1/4tsp
For the batter
Chickpeas Flour-1cup
Rice flour-2tbsp(roasted/Unroasted)
Water-1cup plus2tbsp
Chilli powder-1/2tsp
Hing -2pinch
Salt-
Oil-for frying
Method
Boil peel and mash potato and keep aside.
Heat oil ,splutter mustard seeds ,urad dal .
Then add green chilli,curryleaves,onion and salt.
Saute till translucent .
Then add powders and saute till raw smell goes .
Then add few drops of water and mix ..
Now add mashed potato,mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
Keep aside for cooling.
Now prepare batter .
for that take a bowl ,add chickpeas flour,rice flour,salt,hing and chilli powder.Mix well.
Then add water and make a smooth dosa batter type consistency.
Now make small balls of the potato mix.dip each ball in the batter and deep fry them till golden color..
so the tasty potato bonda is ready to serve
