Makes sense selling Diaby. JPB has the potential to be Eze, Olise level after a season or two under Emery. Put it one way if he wasn't out player and we bought him there would be a lot of excitement.

I think Onana will start the season in Kamara's role, next to Tielemans. McGinn and Ramsey or Rogers in the more advanced midfield roles. But we really are going to have a headache when Kamara is fit. Then we have extra options on the wing too. But its a squad game and we're really going to need a strong squad this season.

I think you’re way underestimating Philo He can play both sides, wing back too if we switch to a 3 in game …. He’s probably capable of playing 10 too … he could flip flop with Morgan’s or emi in that 10 role as Morgan’s can move left and emi did left and right too… it’s a very fluid squad where people can interchange and opposing sides will never be able to settle . I’d take 70 for Diaby and 40 for Duran, get signed off the wages too and we will have funds for January if needed … Sat in a great spot imo

I think rogers will be our stand out player next season. The way he came in from the championship and just slotted in and took on what was demanded of him was impressive. He will kick on next seaosn

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Champions League rules require that 3 homegrown players are in each squad. This may explain the buy-back of Philogene-Bidace as other than Ramsey, we don’t really have any homegrown players ready for first team footy.

Think the penny dropped with Bailey, in fairness to him, he said he had to improve, think when he was subbed on and off last year. Think Diaby was doing some sulking through year and Emery id say has no time for that. As Unai said one of his first trainings, he is not here to waste his time. Think any lad he is iffy about won't be near his plans and moved. Barkley also i think will play way more than expected. His stats are nearer to Dougie and played with relegated team.Think Onana will be Kamara role abit starting cause will take Kamara maybe to Xmas to be right, maybe more experience and stuff could play other role but think he only scored one goal and assist last season so think will be more breaking up play. He is raw abit but alot of talent alright

We may see a few unhappy players this season. We had horrendous injury luck last year.

Given the amount of games this forthcoming season, I don't think it will be TOO bad in terms of player unhappiness. Everyone will play their part whereas last season, some players weren't at the level to.

I think Philogenes transfer signals the end for Diaby... Diabys stats were ok but his general play was poor for most of the season. He wasnt physical enough or disciplined enough for me and i think the club are going to push him out. Hes a high earner, only really looks comfortable right wing and hasnt settled. Philogene is perfect for emery. Hard working, disciplined, can play left or right, much better feet than Diaby and also helps with the champs league squad registration. I think the exit of Diaby may mean we can keep Digne and / or Carlos to avoid a bigger turnover of players

Diaby I think will leave and his minutes will go to existing and recently signed players. I would be surprised if we are looking for a like for like replacement.
