I've watched hundreds of these and what I realize is when they say "he put his camera in my face" what they mean is that he pointed the camera at me. Simply pointing a camera at somebody is enough to make somebody nervous because a lot of people think that it's like a gun of some sort. Like some people get extra nervous when people start pointing at them and a camera triggers the same sort of response. However, we have the same sort of expression for that as we do for someone physically sticking a camera inches away from their nose. Unfortunately, dumb cops don't understand this and it gets auditors into a lot of trouble.

I think Karen got so annoyed by you paying for their meal, you got under her skin, that she thought by saying that she would donate it to the police it would annoy you. She probably had some idea in her head that you're anti-police (and not just anti bad cops), and wanted to try to stick it to you by saying that, but instead she just came across as bitter and embarrassing.

Storytime! When I was a young rascal, I did some mindless and inconsiderate stuff. One of them was throwing stones on my neighbors garage roof without my parents knowledge. It didn't only make a clangerous racket to disturb the entire neighborhood, but the old man had to go up there to remove the stones. One day my mom, seemingly out of the blue, got a beautiful flower arrangement with a card attached to it. It said "thank you for not throwing stones on my garage roof". I had never been so embarrassed in my entire life, and each time I saw that flower it reminded me of my folly. It's weird how kindness and compassion is more effective than scolding sometimes. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Restaurant owner was a major Karen and sounds like she's a nightmare to work for. Young Karen and Daren at the end there seemed salty at first but once Daren got a couple Red Stripes in and was listening to Jason cracking jokes seemed to loosen up a bit. It's funny though to notice the difference between the older couple and the younger couple. Older couple was polite and immediately talking up the town and the restaurant opening. Filming wasn't about them. Young Karen and Daren immediately felt like the camera was there for them. That's the Instagram generation for you. Overall it sounds like everyone got an education that day in Zionsville Indiana and everyone's better for it

My wife & I were the first couple to be interviewed by Jason at the Tipsy. Upon noticing the fellows with their upscale cameras seemingly recording video, we quickly started up the conversation - not used to being recorded. Once we found out what they were doing, we were all too happy to do the bidding for the Tipsy. It's looking to be a great place and look forward to many more such evenings out on the patio...with or without being recorded! Now, in defense of owner Shari, it's been a long year or so in the making - it had been open for only an hour or so. Anyone would probably be frazzled to the core in her shoes at that time...looking to make the evening perfect. And, it was a great evening for us.

Great attitude even now sir, way to be positive to try and make the world better. Unfortunately it really wasn't a great look for Shari, but totally empathize the stress she is probably under and desire for success. Hopefully she can not engage - just accept the situation happened - and move on. Jason & Ben are very much about giving back the energy given to them. You all saw that in your interaction, and others saw it when they started being negative/demanding. It's just the way they operate and it's really not on them to have to educate/comfort everyone. It would be nice sure...but that's not the point. They're doing what they do, and to others it can be a bit weird, and I think challenging is perfectly reasonable approach, but it has to be done with some humbleness. It feels like people have gotten much more entitled/demanding and less curious/understanding. I hope my wife and I can always exude the same positivity for life you and your wife seem to have. It's a marathon for sure, and I love seeing bright examples such as you all out there to emulate.

Notice how police handle situations like this? It truly annoys me....the cop asks what they're doing...verifies it's legal...then STILL tries to get them to "go away" because the business doesn't want them there....when pushed back...the cop was FINE with them staying....THEN asks for ID...also fine when that gets denied. Cops know this is all LEGAL and yet still try to appease the Karens...anyone not aware of their rights, will just listen to the cop.

@@svenshanah I was using an example from many of the local christian churches in my area. Those that offer Communion (body and blood of Christ) show a hierarchical order in the serving line. Thus, Jesus pays with his death to feed those of a higher social class. I observed my old grandmother attend a catholic cathedral and advance from the back pew to the 3rd, took her 57 yrs. She was then displaced by a new businessman in town, while she was moved to the 'crying room'. She was so upset. I sat with her the entire mass the first time. You want to know what a church should be like? Hint: it doesn't have a 'crying room'.

Whats more strange: A couple whom obviously has nothing in common and is relying on the scenery to keep things light? Arranged marriages still exists...just saying. An older couple whom enjoys eachother, but finds your presence invigorating? Finally, people of the younger variety who doesn't care? I agree with you. On the one hand, I absolutely appreciate Jason and Ben's efforts to protect our rights and even just a little, stop the erosion taking place in our country. There are efforts against our freedoms, some of which come from 9/11's hyper-security aftermath and the rest from things like government classes being removed and attacks on free speech by Google, Twitter (Pre-Elon), Facestalk, etc. On the other hand, sometimes a point has ben made well enough and it would be better to stop instigating. I have always had a fascination with people watching, Karen and Darren are the prime example of 🐑! Karen just couldn't help herself because she was not in control and couldn't control others! Her husband seemed like a ok kind of person who had to go along with his wife! He soon learned that she was wrong and feelings were not enforced! I live about 5 miles east of here, was raised here and can say that this video really captured the essence of the area, particularly regarding the people. Most are very kind but (I think because of the affluence mostly), there are a percentage of the Darrens and Karens who are incredibly uptight and self-important. Keep up the great work.
