Look at anisimovas effortless changing of direction and using sabalenkas pace against her. Remarkable performance. Very deceptive and effortless game.

She reminds me of Davenport. Although not quite as clean off the forehand as Davenport her backhand is incredible and just as good as Davenport who has the best backhand on the woman's side of all time.

Anisimova and Kostyuk will be the best out of the new generation, along with Osaka. Kostyuk is still only 16 but she just had it out with Amanda about a month ago and took her to school. Hopefully that will develop into a nice rivalry down the road.

great job for Anisimova, she's on the rise. i like Sabalenka too but she needs to get back to the drawing board. as for her misogynistic coach Tursunov who said that there's no single player who can wipe Aryna off the court, well you have Serena and then Anisimova there. it was Tursunov who unfairly said that female tennis players outside the top 30 don't know how to play the game, unlike Aryna. Sabalenka should build on from this loss and get better, maybe start by hiring a different coach.

Its too soon to say that, I mean how can you predict the next 10 years with one result? Tennis is crazy specially WTA, Ostapenko won a slam !!! I think that if Sabalenka is able to play at 100% for 2 weeks she has a big chance of winning a slam, just think of the US open of last year, she was the only player that gave Osaka a real contest and that match could have gone either way. If Sabalenka had won that match she could have the US Open now
@dandresaldi
@dandresaldi 5 жыл бұрын
@Ashutosh Mishra Well, what would have happened if the final was Serena vs Sabalenka will remain a mystery, I think that Serena was not at 100% and a physical player like Aryna might have donde some damage, Naomi played amazing but Serena was also missing a lot, specially in the first set.. What I think is that at this point it's impossible to say if she is going to win a slam, I believe she has a good chance, how do you think WTA is going to be without Serena? It's going to be even more open
