She refers to the place as holy.. she mentions destruction of the country, even the destruction of the Earth from the face of the country if the righteous liberal minded freedom fighters don't vote right.. Basically following the same played out platform they are all running on: "must stop Trump".. They say that because they have so much hate in their hearts they refuse to even have dialog with those they disagree with. They call them the most vile names and give them the most vile and hateful attributes. Then turn right around and want to smell their own farts while they preach love and togetherness. Typical braindead democrat behavior. I don't say that to imply the republicans are much better, but they honestly are most of the time. They just don't seem as dumb most of the time.

Giacomo Leopardi "L'Infinito" (1819, he was 21) THE INFINITY This steep hill was always dear to me, And this hedge, which mostly The gaze excludes from the last horizon. But sitting and aiming, endless Spaces beyond that, and superhuman Silence, and profound stillness In my thoughts I pretend; where for a little while The heart is not afraid. And as the wind I hear rustling among these plants, that one Infinite silence at this voice I compare: and the eternal comes to mind, And the dead seasons, and the present And alive, and the sound of her. So between this one Immensity drowns my thoughts: And wandering is sweet to me in this sea.

Hell, there's a 78-year-old "something" running for president and has been president (God forgive me), made and makes complete incoherent ramblings every time he opens his trap. @andrewb.9815

@@charlotteroberts5328 you are completely missing the point, somebody who is supposed to be the country's "greatest poet", an individual that should have a solid steel grip on the English language and pronunciation (which is a bit important for poetry) somehow replaced "Hallowed" with "Hollowed".....two completely different words with different meanings. She is just an example of liberals fawning over her simply because she is black, not because of her skill or talent. This is how simple minded Democrat liberals are, everything boils down to a persons skin color in their shallow, vapid minds. Nothing else matters except what a person looks like with these people. Just spare us all your "hollow", emotional platitudes like "she observed the human condition". No, she screwed up because she is Harvard educated, yet has a limited grasp on English vocab, explain to me how somebody like that gets into an Ivy League school and majors in English?

@@charlotteroberts5328 A 25 year old, fresh out of Ivy League who doesn't know the difference between "Hallowed" and "Hollowed" is scary, dumb. Do not do the same thing the media does and say stuff like "Amanda observed the human condition" She was placed into a spot, as a "poet" and flubbed a very easy word like "Hallowed". You and your party are all about skin color, that is all that matters to you simple minded individuals. You sit there and say to yourself: "Oh my god, she is 'black' and is saying things" and after the fact you find out she doesn't actually know what she is saying, she is just throwing random words out there for effect.

@@richardtaylor5319 Well maybe that is why she is there then. Perhaps we can agree that many would find her inspiring, while many others would find her to just not be a good poet at the same time. I find it hard to be inspired by any poetry I don't find to be very good. The use of words in unorthodox ways needs to be done both artistically and sensibly for me to be moved by them. What she said here seems to me like something any average individual could put together on a napkin in 5 minutes. Her message also seems contradictory. She is clearly appealing to the democratic platform as of now. That platform is to defeat the current opposition because if they don't the country is going to be destroyed. That is the only platform they are running on. They openly hate the opposition. They label the opposition as terrorist threats to democracy and have no desire to listen to anything they have to say. So she says they need to vote properly to save the country. It's not so different from a republican mindset. At the same time she throws around concepts of loving one another. She only says that because democrats respond to catch words just like republicans do. That love she speaks of is not meant for everyone in the eyes of that crowd. She's talking about loving illegal immigrants or people with various lifestyle choices. That is one of the defining examples of how democratic platforms differ from republican platforms. A conservative might say "we need to stop illegal immigration because ___". A liberal response might be "but we should love and accept everyone." She is basically being paid to help push mindless lies that *the republican party is solely responsible for seeding hatred in the country, so they need to come together as enlightened loving individuals to save us from it. It's basically sub-par intelligence energy all around.

If you wanna read real poetry check out the whole album 36 Chambers, Or Wu-Tang Forever by Wu-Tang-Clan, or Metallica And Justice For All.., or any Jim Morrison written Doors album, this right here is not it 🤮
