I'm guessing the episodes at Aunt Kate's place may have been some of the earliest ones, possibly even sections of a pilot. She was a huge supporter of Sam's work, he may have made special copies or gave her the first recording once Hamlin became part of the equation. The ones at the library may be later seasons, I don't know how long Hamlin's been making the show in universe. Kids shows also do 2 seasons a year, running year round cause little kiddos don't yet have a school day to adhere to and establish routine around. Maybe it took off as part of Hamlin's catalog, and got more funding.

@@sharky8565 makes sense. But considering that she revealed her secret to us at the end of the last game I assume that she trusts us considerably. Even the format of her show has somewhat changed. She no longer talks like the usual cartoon host for kids, she's genuinely talking to us and voicing out her feeling. Although what she can say is still being influenced by the game As for wooly. I'm still not sure what his role in all this is. I feel like he's just trying to keep Amanda sane while also trying to protect the viewers from her influence. But I could be wrong, after all, he was desperately trying to stop Amanda from recalling her name and past

@@ProtectorKelvin In the alpha, Wooly was a victim who tried to save the character from a murderous Amanda. In the regular game, Wooly is an enabler of Amanda's abuse at the hands of the show. Wooly tries to keep Amanda "on script" and keeping the show running, even though in the end he's really at Amanda's mercy.

It's been a while since i've seen the first game but in that one there wasn't even much that she did. She mostly just stood in place, walked over here and there, pointed at stuff with maybe occasional interesting animations. Here though, she moves around the room in a logical and fairly smoothly animated way. Climbing on the couch, picking the coins, etc. she acctually interacts with her surroundings more. Putting down objects still isn't perfect though.

It's a little detail, when Amanda is counting the coins it's matched with music, that I really appreciate in the tape. It taps into how kids can learn concepts in more forms with visual and audio, the ascending notes are the number growing and the descending notes are taking away from the number.

this might be me overanalyzing, but did anyone else notice that amanda had two shadows, and only one of them made sense for the direction of the light source? one of her shadows is against the wall, rigjt next to where the window is. this might be the demon hiding, because it wouldnt make sense for her to a) have more than one shadow if theres only one light source, and b) have a shadow that could only be cast from a ligjt source in the opposite direction.

Very interesting they decided to show the island of dead dolls, the legend I know is about a guy who saw a girl drown in the Xochimilco lake (something that happens easily, the plants get tangled in your legs, so if you fall on the lake you're probably dead) in a chinampa (artificial island) he started to hang dolls in her honor, some say the girl's ghost haunts the island

I'll be tracking all the Freudian slips that are either related to her (implied) past (mostly, the lines that are cut off, like the show itself doesn't want her to say them) or that demonstrate that she's just as trapped as Wooly and the Player character are and highlighting particular words. If I misquote these, forgive me. 1) I love to think of all the places I *could* *have* g- 2) This fun, I guess, but I really wish I could go see the world. 3) It gets awfully lonely in here at night. 4) It makes me think about- (the glitched dialogue later is likely something incriminating for the Hamelin company) 5) *We* *shouldn't* *talk* *about* *them.* ("them" likely refers to Hameln; notable, this is the only time in the Amanda the Adventurer series where Amanda seems genuinely scared) 6) (in response to "Sam" being entered as someone the player wants to see) Wait, that's- (is Hameln stopping Amanda from remembering her father, or does she still remember, but she has some kind of restraining bolt put on her so that she can't really say anything?) 7) (in response to "Kate" being entered as someone the player wants to see) I wish I could still visit her. (Kate was the aunt of the player character of AtA 1, so this game is likely not a prequel, or if it is, the player character is not Aunt Kate; was Amanda trying to use Aunt Kate to help her? She all but outright states that she's a slave to Hameln) 8) (in response to "Rebecca" being entered as someone the player wants to see) *Do* *you* *really* *think* *you* *could* *do* *that?* (This is likely one of to things: either 1) it's Amanda rather bluntly and grimly stating the truth that her human body is dead, or 2) it's actually Hameln speaking through Amanda. The implied threat in her tone makes me think that it's the second one, since all the other lines point to Rebecca Colton's personality still being alive within the character of Amanda) The new rat/possum character seems to be an expy of Swiper, given that both of its appearances have it stealing something from Amanda, but given that the symbol of the Hameln company is a stylized mouse/rat, maybe it also serves as a physical representation of the company in the cartoon world. Amanda certainly doesn't know what it is, so it's possible that it isn't originally supposed to be a character on the show.

So if i get you right, the amanda in the show is something like an avatar or reanimated persona of Rebecca that is scripted to act as the game character, that is now glitched and can act "out of character" sometimes, but is wired so that upon certain stimuli (like typing in rebecca, which implies we know about what's going on behind the scenes) the avatar are instantly back under Hameln(?) control ?

@@vanzeralltheway8638 Well, from what I can tell, Amanda is a combination of two entities: Rebecca Colton, her voice actor, and a summoned demon. Rebecca is in control when Amanda's mostly emotionally stable, while when Amanda breaks down, the demon comes out. I assumed that Hameln had some kind of measures in place to ensure that neither side of Amanda can rebel and expose/put them in danger. People generally *dislike* being taken advantage of and murdered, and demons tend to *dislike* being controlled by humans for long. Point is, while Rebecca and the demon can speak out and act "out of character", if either of them go too far and act in a way that could harm the show or try to reveal incriminating information, Hameln's control measures will kick in and effectively gag them. In fact, Wooly may actually have been part of these measures, whether he wanted to be or not (notice that, in the first game, the Rebecca side of Amanda speaks out more freely when Wooly isn't present).

you can technically say no for this one, airs are technically still nothing though now, let's imagine manly, he has already stated many times that he has an empty soul, but what if there is something more than that? what if manly did not specify if his soul is actually empty or not? what if it's just air and not vacuum? air would still make sense here since it still counts as nothing, but what if it was a vacuum instead, would he implode or it is actually a true nothing? anyway, that's just a theory, don't believe anything yet until it's confirmed

Tecnically, its not empty because oxygen, nitrogen, lights, atoms, and whatever is always inside. Practically, it is empty because air as a medium are never counts as an object and is the default standard of "nothingness".

I personally find it hard to believe Manly’s soul is in empty cans, bins, etcetera. I think his soul is the videos. Like, he puts his soul into making videos/entertaining content for us.
