That was a completely new monster if you got a good look at it which I think may or may not be wooly Think about it in the first game Wooly trust you to possibly do something and has tried to stop Amanda before which I think means Wooly hasn't accepted his role! Now he is somehow back but this time in the canon ending you broke his trust and is now annoyed with you! And throughout the game he at first tries a few things but in the final tape Wooly sides with Amanda and ask if they can go home! This would mean that Wooly has accepted his role and now just like Amanda has a monster version that now lurks in the real world!

It seems like it has black horns poking out of it's head (I know wooly has black ears on his normal character but these look more like horns on the monster). The demons arms, legs and face are black (wooly has black skin). It's main torso is white (wooly has white wool).

@@elioridacow I’d didn’t matter whether he sided with Amanda or not, he was the main villain from the start, his only purpose was to keep Amanda in line and keep her from the truth, that’s why in the first game, he had to be temporarily axed to get the good ending since no one was keeping her from talking for herself. Amanda in this game isn’t really hostile until the patience tape where Wooly comes back funnily enough. Wooly is the reason you can even die in the story tape since supposedly he calls for the entity when his eyes went black and he tries to agitate it with his story knowing that it would make her mad, when we tell the story that makes her happy is the one where he gets pissed but it looks like he’s convinced Amanda that Riley isn’t good from the last tape and after Amanda heard the voice recording, she didn’t want to kill them but who didn’t give a crud? Wooly.

Amanda might've called the possum "he," but she CLEARLY doesn't know who the possum is. She even asks, "Who even are you?" the first time the possum attacks. We can't take her assumption that the possum is a "he" as fact. Amanda doesn't know what the deal with the possum is. Not even Wooly does.

1:07:54 I think a lot of people are overlooking this small detail. After we give the Wooly doll to The Entity and they rip it apart we hear a really low sound. Upon hearing this the Entity just seems startled as it breathes heavily and runs away into the door. Upon getting the true ending of the game we see a completely different entity. What I have noticed is that both entities share a stark resemblance to Amanda and wooly. So perhaps anybody in the tape has an entity that is tied to them. What worries me though is that for this game it wasn't Amanda's entity who we just had to worry about what seems like woolies as well and that entity seemed a lot more dangerous and beast like especially since Amanda's own literally ran from it upon hearing it! Now the questions I want answered, how are these entities getting out? How many more "entities" will we face? Because with everyone saying that the possum could be Jordan based on how he tried to call out to Joanne upon hearing her voice it could be likely he also has an entity tied to him. Finally, what is Hamlen's overall goal in doing any of this?! Even for a "cult" its unclear what their motives could be if they have one.

Possessing and assimilating humans could be the only way these demonic entities can acquire the power needed to manifest themselves in our physical world. End goal is maybe a society ruled by demons with Hamlen cultists given positions of power over other humans or possibly being rewarded by becoming immortal entities themselves?

I think with Hameln’s whole deal of luring kids away and referencing demons, I think their main goal is to summon or appease demons, or maybe a certain demon. The children are supposed to be sacrifices of course. Once it was mentioned that Hameln has been around as a cult since the Middle Ages that’s when I became pretty convinced on my answer.

I noticed that all the fairy tales alluded so far, Pied Piper (Hamlin), the reading of Alice in Wonderland (or Looking Glass) in the Secret VHS Tape and in the same tape the theater group is called Blue Fairy, which is Pinocchio, deal with kids being lead astray by someone/ something after making a promise or a promise was broken. Which makes sense knowing that each of those stories the characters go off to another world following it, some Pied Piper versions have the Piper take the kids away to a beautiful land, Alice finds Wonderland, and Pinocchio to the Land of Toys in the original story and Pleasure Island in Disneys version. These all can represent what happened to Amanda and the disappeared kids...

Wooly has consistently been forcing Amanda to ignore the fact that she's trapped in a tv show and half-dead IRL. In the neighborhood tape he discourages her from reaching out to Kate, (Would he do that if he had her best interest in mind? I THINK NOT.) In the everything rots tape, when she mentions that she feels like she's rotting, he gets mad and insists that nothing is rotten (Keeping her from the TRUTH.) He doesn't even want her listening to a sad story, that's how controlling he is about the "No bad thoughts or feelings" thing. I don't have a clear answer to *who* Wooly is exactly, but I'm sure of this: His objective is to keep her trapped and blissfully unaware of her torment so Hameln can keep capturing kids. That's why I never believed that Wooly was Sam: Sam wouldn't keep Amanda from the truth, nor would he stop her from reaching out to Kate or help Hameln with their sinister goals.

I have many theories I commented almost everywhere. 1. Amanda and monster Amanda are related but also separated. Like, we knew in the previous game she could transform. But here, it was like there are the same person but with different personalities. While Amanda was in the tv, her monster self was OUTSIDE. In the “When you’re feeling bad” Tape, When we have to invent a story (knight, princess, wizard etc..), and that Monster Amanda tried to attack us, Amanda pleaded it to not do this and let us try. When she was happy with the sad story and that Monster Amanda was about to attack us again, Amanda stopped it, convincing it to let us go. See my point ? 2. The Opposum is Jordan (Joanne’s brother). In the “Do you feel safe ?” Tape before I think the True Ending, when they all lunched at the screen, stuggling and wrestling to get the opossum away, it screamed : “Jo..Jo- JOH !!! Jo-..JOH- JOH-AHH !!” “Coincidentally”, Joanne’s name is with J.O.A. He was about to complete before the guys shut him up. Why would he randomly start screaming that if he didn’t know Joanne ? There’s no doubt of this. 3. I don’t think Wooly’s on our side. Because you can see that Amanda hates him more for some reason, he’s like keeping Amanda from truly “express” herself through the games and…well, We still don’t know his true identity. If he’s a trapped kid, what’s his real name or anything. In the treasure hunting, when Amanda founded the clothes inside the ground while digging, Wooly didn’t even say anything and immediately looked at Amanda and reburried it, trying to brush it off. Most of all, he didn’t even looked shocked ! And…if you look closely at the True Ending, it wasn’t Amanda who attacked Joanne. The monster was different, had some wool and a more animalistic ferocious head. Especially with that familiar ear raise. It was him. Who killed Joanne.

It is confirmed that the monster who attack Joanne was Wooly or least that is the common theory and orginally the theory was Wooly was Coltan brought into that world to keep Armada calm, but as we saw in a Secret tape Coltan was being held in a secret area by Hamlen to stop him from interfering with Rebecca so chances are he is still alive. So my new theory is Wooly is an entity created by Hamlen to make sure the tapes are safe in the real world but in the virtual world keep Amanda aka Rebecca teathered to the TV world so she doesn't escape.

So in the end Hamlen production is a cult disguised as an animation studio for kids. Im totally surprised of the real ending, so whoever is in charge of Harmlen production, has been doing this since the Middle ages. Even before tv was born, so this cult kidnapped kids and extract their souls for their demon or demonic king they are worshiping. In the first game a have a wierd feeling that Hamlen have to do with the disappearance of Amanda and her dad. Kate analyze the episodes of Amanda when it was on air the first time and see that every adventure have wierd demonic words or even telling the kids not to follow their parents. In the end the kid gets grabbed by that monster and teleports the kid inside the tape.(Most of the research am saying, is found in the secret tapes) Im still dont know how exactly Hamlen creat the way to grabbed children and transport them to the tape, but unfortunately those kids are just souls, they are dead and trapped inside that cursed show. I bet that also Amanda in some way is a good soul but trapped by that demon and i bet that wooly is a character design not to let Amanda go, because every time Amanda goes on an adventure, she hates wooly and yes wooly could also be connected with the demon. I like this game, i hope they creat a third part.

I want to say I wonder if Wooly represents the original demonic entity, and Amanda became transformed by him, showing by them merging in the very first iteration of the "We Can Fix It!" tape at 1:08:33? It could explain why she wants to get away from him so badly, and why he keeps interfering with her actual interests, to try and pull her into the dream world of the show? Edit: As a continuation of this thought, he seems like a very "safe" character, which I feel could be hiding something. You are able to lure more flies with honey than with vinegar, after all. While Amanda's attempts to reach out to the player/other children could be seen as "scary" or "concerning," she seems to genuinely want to avoid Riley's death, because she feels she can trust her, but Wooly is very insistent on continuing his fantasy narrative, which makes the demonic Amanda devour Riley. I think that that really says something about his character. Edit 2: Coming back to this after seeing some more development in the answers that you can give to Amanda, she doesn't seem outwardly afraid of him, and scoffs at the idea of it, but she DOES mention how she used to trust him, and now is no longer able to. Upon looking more closely at the tape about bandits, it's possible that this ties into Wooly's own murder, possibly at the hands of the Butcher that seems like a more important character to both of them. While Wooly has some reactions to mentions of horror and to the butcher, I now think that it's possible that he could be another missing child, but my opinion that he's more powerful than he looks is also prevalent in my mind. For one thing, he could be a mole working for HaMelN to try and control a narrative that Amanda is no longer following, given that in the tape mentioned in my initial ramblings, he seems to surround Amanda and be a nuisance for her, then grows more dominating and larger after the Butcher speaks in the tape. I feel like this may show the effect that his presence has over her, how he might be being used as a tool to keep her "calm," but is no longer fulfilling his purpose? It's very interesting to see where this is going.

I think wooly is a victim similar to Rebecca (who does he represent? Who knows) and maybe both victims were merged to represent how they both have been influenced by demonic entities. I think wooly is trying too hard to just pretend that it’s all sunshine and rainbows to a fault. It’s why Amanda doesn’t trust him, he just brushes her feelings aside as if they don’t matter. If he was the bad guy, what’s his motive? Hameln clearly wants to influence bad/evil behavior, which Wooly is against. He may not be the most morally correct character, but I believe he was a victim of circumstances, and he and Amanda were both placed in a realm that in the end tortures the both of them

@@thelonemask I want to say that this could be for a number of reasons, it could possibly be due to some early development of the plot not being fully fleshed out, or it could potentially tie into the theory that I've been mulling over. If it is the latter, I personally would say that it's possible he's losing his control over Amanda, that she's become more successful in reaching out to people over the years, and is no longer interested in Wooly's subtle approach to luring children sacrifices, or just ouright wants to break free. He wants to pretend like he's not affiliated with her, so that you as the player put more faith into him. He seems to have more control over the demonic entity in this episode than he lets on, and the Wooly monster sort of cements that for me, on top of him being very averse to Amanda putting trust in "strangers". If he isn't the one in control, I would at least think that he's one half of the whole monster, more interested in the luring aspect, with Amanda being the half that's more interested in outward malice.

My theory is that when sam created Amanda the adventurer some rich people wanted Amanda's voice actor which is his daughter Rebecca to be IN the show as Amanda, that's probably why they were operating on her in that one tape, in another tape they were making her say demon names, which can explain why Amanda is so evil, but before they did that they trying to lock sam in a room so he can't save his daughter, and since Rebecca is now Amanda she probably hasn't seen her dad in so long that she doesn't remember him, that's why every time you answer her questions with "sam" she freaks out

Okay so- after looking and analyzing some stuff I feel slightly confident to make some connections to the story- and even a little bit of theorizing (becoming MatPat over here lol) so if you wanna read my yapping then feel free to, and leave your own suggestions as well under this So Ik people give a lot of crap towards Matpat and his theories with his inconsistencies and wild theories, but I think when he made his connection to Amanda the Adventure being connected to the story of the Pied Piper was honestly spot on- and the sequel proves to strengthen that connection. There are many different interpretations of the Pied Piper story mind you- so if the game devs are taking inspiration from the folktale, then clearly they're going for the sinister and f*cked up version. So not only is it convenient that the company Hameln is almost directly named after the city, Hamelin, the mascot in the Hameln logo is a mouse (remember, in versions of the folklore it was said the Piper led rats away from the town), but in the first secret tape they actually mentioned that Hameln has (potentially) been around SINCE the Middle Ages- or at least the goals (same time period findings of the folklore have been found). And honestly- I don't think it's too crazy to suggest that in the Amanda universe that Hameln WAS/IS the Pied Piper, or the group was the origins of the story, and now it's become a devoted group that carry on the story through each era and generation, thus of course developing a cult-like tendency. Now the connection to the demon-names mentioned throughout the series and demonic monstrous entities aren't too fitting with the original story of the Pied Piper- but of course the many interpretations of the story have called him a "devil-like" or "the devil himself" so it either could be that devil-worshipping happened later on, or that the original Pied Piped did this, aka leading and sacrificing kids, to summon/worship/ and possibly take control of these demons- and a group of people heard wind of what this guy was doing and were like, "demon-summoning and children sacrificing, hell yeah im in dude" and therefore leading to current day-Hameln It should be very obvious that Amanda the Adventurer is the "music" that's captivating and luring these kids away- without a trace. And it's a (horrifyingly) genius modern-day Pied Piper with how addicting technology, specifically TV, is to kids because it's perfect stimulation for their brains, and then you disguise this kid-luring technology over a kids show? I mean- it's perfect bait! Most parents won't bat an eye of the questionable contents cause well- It's a kids show! It's weird and will always have some form of questionable dialogue that most likely means nothing, and if it does then well- why would the kids understand it? And to continue that- we also get the see in this game how Hameln came across Sam and his show. Cause in the tape where he's reading Alice in Wonderland to the kids- there's that man in the suit that comes out of nowhere- and then talks to him afterwards striking up how he loves his "connection" with the kids. And to point out, Hameln didn't own Amanda yet during this tape as Kate mentioned the show was still a local broadcasting show of when it was just Sam and Rebecca, so clearly the Director came to this story time to talk to Sam about broadcasting Amanda to an even wider audience. And I say Director because this is the same man in the previous game, in the Light Blue secret tape, that was sitting in front of Rebecca with presumably a contract that she signed- and it's possibly the same man who made her go through those "vocal exercises" of her saying "Bye Yell, Pie Man, Baa Lamb" (It's the bald spot that gave it away lol) Also this is a side note- but in the same tape where they mentioned Hameln has possibly been around since the middle age- they mentioned Lauren, who was the girl that was watching Amanda in the secret tape in the first game- who suddenly vanished as he parents were trying to surprise her for her birthday. She is mentioned again in this new tape- confirming to be missing, and most likely a victim of Hameln, much like Jordan was. And speaking of which- they mentioned an unnamed boy, who is not clearly seen in the television screen cause of a glare, that went missing exactly like Lauren- and this kid is possibly Jordan (The Opossum), so I feel like this is now setting up where- not just Amanda/Rebecca is in this television hell- but also all the other kids- and could also have this demonoid-monster half- while their other half is trapped in the TV show. So it makes me wonder for the next game if there's gonna be even more of these missing-kids we saw, like Jordan, in the other game as not just characters within the tapes- but as monstrous creatures since it's not just Amanda that is one (case in point the secret endings)

Seeing this, Amanda is clearly not the villain, she is not evil either, all she wants is to get out the tapes, Rebecca may have lost her father, but she deserves peace and as long as her soul is bound to them, she's never going to get closure. Even the entity isn't that evil, it's aggressive as fuck but listens to Amanda when she says to leave Riley alone. Note how it seems to attack when Amanda gets distressed (except for the bad ending, that part i don't understand). And looking at the true ending, Wooly might be the bad guy. It explains why Amanda is hellbent on killing Wooly, he's always trying to keep Amanda bound to the tapes, and we can assume the sheep creature that *BRUTALLY* killed Joanne (no actually HER FLESH WAS RIPPED APART AND HER LAST MOMENTS OF AGONY WERE HEARD THROUGH THE RADIO IN THE FUCKING CREDITS) is Wooly. See how the entity got pissed when it got a plushie of Wooly.
