I was jus saying the same thing. We need more of your dad's cooking vids plz. Cooking is very intimidating for me. I love baking But after watching your Baba, I believe it's not that hard. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago and I hve never seen saffron here. Only turmeric. I would love to make this dish. Simple and delicious. 👍🏽

LOVE your baba! I am half Palestinian (baba) and half Native American (mama) and your father reminds me so much of my baba! I loved hearing him speak about his family. My baba died when I was in college, and this was just such a special reminder of him. Thank you!!!

Hi Amanda. I’m literally crying watching this. Your dad reminds me so so so much of my dad who I haven’t seen in a year and I miss him so much. We’re also Palestinian and it was hard not to cry listening to him about where he’s from and I’m sure how hard it is knowing where you are from but not being able to go there. I hate the occupation. I loved hearing your dad tell us about his views on food. I follow an autoimmune protocol for health purposes and one of the tenets when you start it is to avoid any refined cooking oils, stick with olive, avocado, or coconut oils. He is absolutely correct about vegetable oil being bad for you - canola oil is horrible! The few times I've had highly processed oils in the past three years have put me in so much pain, because the body cannot handle them. I've since added sesame oil back in. This chicken looks SO good, as does the rice and the salad.

@Golden Crown being Palestinian and being Arab are not exclusive titles. You can be Palestinian while still being Arab, it doesn’t take away from your Palestinian identity :)
