She can convey such an amazing range of emotions so simply and beautifully. No one can make me go from crying to laughing like Amanda. WKAP? is a masterpiece. Love her so much.

The line that always chokes me up is, "He tells me that he's fine, and the sad thing is he's right." Very simple, but one of the most heartbreaking lines ever sung.

dear amanda, you played a few weeks ago in cologne. my friends and i couldn't i couldn't go to your show because it sold out, even after the venue change. i'm sad because i haven't had a good chance to see you since i saw you in 2008, being a serviceman. i love you and feel like i know you. god bless you and neil. you're my two favorite people in the universe that aren't my family. keep on rocking for the small folk because we'll see you again when we get the chance...

This video was put up three months into my relationship with my partner of 12 years and this song described him to a tee back then before his health got bad, he actually introduced me to Amanda Palmer's music as he was a big fan he even had her touch his arm at one of her concerts when she made her way onto the stage through the crowd

I adore this song, it is easily one of my favourites off the album and watching this video gave me goosebumps in a good way. So haunting and beautiful. The treatment of the footage creates this divine melancholy and the ending both warms and breaks your heart. Simply stunning.

The first time i heard this song i was sitting in the back seat of a car with my best friend and we just sat and held hands, and before I knew it I was crying because at that point I knew that I would never be as happy as I was at that moment in time.

My sister knew Blake when she lived in Boston...(this was in the early 2000's) which is how she first heard Amanda and then told me about her (in the Dresden Dolls at the time).... I still remember being so excited when I first heard the Jeep Song play on the radio driving around Santa Cruz in my 86 Volvo

It sucks worse when you know a guy like Blake. Someone who's not entirely there all the time. They're technically functional... but there's these moments where you can tell that, every once in a while, they're mind is on a completely different planet that you can never hope to explore. It's just... beyond you. And it's most definitely not a good thing.

@@bimathy For me it's like, you (who's singing) expect (unconsciously, sometimes) Blake to want, or even need you, in a way, and when you realize he doesn't, that he's fine without you, your ego is hurt. That's the line of the song that hit me hardest, we've all been, at one point, Blake and/or Amanda...

Damn you Amanda Palmer... nearly 3 am an I get a fragment of a lyric stuck in my head, have to play enough of the melody on my harmonica to figure out enough melody to get enough more lyrics to look it up. And it's too late to play along with it really anyway. Oh well, I'll leave the tab open and play along tomorrow. Is there a master key list for your songs somewhere? That's the only part I hate about figuring out songs is keying them.
