Ben Folds producing your music has to be one of the best moments in music history. He seems to understand your vision unlike anyone else in music has, in my opinion.

It was a well spent evening strolling down memory lane. I miss this era, and I miss myself from that time, too.

two years and I almost forgot about this. I came back after writing something that I realized reminded me of this song. I still relate to her words, amazingly. Love you, Amanda.

I just found her video project for WKAP. I'm blown away. The amount of work and symbolism put into this makes me want to cry because I will never be as amazing as Amanda. She's here on Earth to make the rest of us really appreciate everything. (But mostly appreciate her.)

Thanks. From the bottom of my heart. When things feel too dark too take for even another hour, I often come here. It's like talking to someone who actually understands all the leaps and arguments my brain will go through, and INA the most beautiful and straightforward manner cuts them right in the middle. "I think I'll wait another year". Again.

You know...I have had this CD for...Well as soon as I could get my grubby paws on it, and I do not know how this missed me, and then turned into my anthem. My facebook page has turned into an Amanda Palmer shrine kind of thing...and all my friends think I am insane. But since most of my friends are insane, I guess I finally get to fit in. Even my partner who can't spell an artists name without it starting with Metalica has grown to appreciate this.

The piano motif in this song makes me want to cry it's so sad T_T And this whole song makes me angry at the things I regret and my own cowardice, always waiting another year...

I've never even thought about that, but it's so true. People don't realize that she's the most brilliant human being of this time, but they will one day. And just knowing we're alive while she is, that's a fantastic thought.

I think that she's not entirely certain of what she's waiting for. Who is? But the excuse always recurs. For myself, the promise of the future is what prevents me from engaging in life. It's the excuse to procrastinate, but also protection from the anxiety and significance of doing things that are important to me, and interacting with the people I love. Sometimes, though, it's the thing that prevents me from killing myself. "Another time, another year, but now I'm busy." It's postponing life.

to me the song is about posponing suicide over and over again

I like that take on it: we put off things, wait another year, because in a way that makes it seem like we have that year, we have the luxury to decide to kick it down the road. We get anxious and scared when we think we might run out of time, but if we presume that the time is there, it eases the burden. Postponing life so the grim reaper might get the text, and cut us a break...

You know I stumbled on to Amanda Palmer through listening to Regina Spektor who is also amazing but Amanda does something with me that Regina can't do and I don't exactly know what it is...I mean I'm super obsessed with Regina but Amanda I just don't even know

This is morbid I know, but I was reading this book "Steppenwolf," and the guy in it says he feels better knowing he'll die at 50 because he's marked that year as the year to kill himself. So listening to this song, I think about that, and how people think maybe in one more year it will get better. And if not, then...

It looked like whatever it was she was holding in her mouth, and then she sort of pressed it into place inside the paper like she was sticking it down. My guess is some gum, although I don't know what in the hell that could symbolise...
