If you go and listen their "story" called "The Tragic events of September" you'll see that in one part the one of them tell to the other that she had a nightmare where she was in a (supposedly) abandoned and creepy town and her sister wasn't anywhere near her. The song is based on tht "nightmare" from the story and not in a real even where the one "lost" the other because the other went away
