Alexis Lyle it's like recording a video or making a 3D one, CONVERTING THE WHOLE VIDEO TO FREEZEFRAMES and tracing over it with what you want to convey. Disney did this a lot with older films and it's still currently a very popular practice.

hi I know this is an old comment but I do computer graphics. They made the cartoon, pasted it over the frost, and set it so the cartoon is an invisible mask over the frost. The actors stood behind the clear window and moved so it looked like they were drawing it, and the cartoon was animated over that background. It's similar to how greenscreens are used.

A lot of people are making the same joke about how they're conjoined twins, so how did she go missing? But the thing is, if you listen to The Tragic Events (I don't remember if it was part 1 or 2 but I think it was 2), Evelyn explains that she had a nightmare about Evelyn going missing. Since in the storyline, the girls are established as musicians, it's not too far off that they would make a silly song like this together to ease Evelyn's concerns of Evelyn going missing.

Okay, this was the first song I've heard from this Album. At first, it was a happy, innocent song, but then.. the comments.. I wanted to know the story, so instead of learning to an exam I had to go deeper into the story. The tragic events of september, Chicken man, Sandy Fishnets, A campaign of shock and awe, Elephant Elephant, My space, Love will tear us apart, Evelyn Evelyn and you only want me cause you want my sister -- all of them were so, SO dark, yet beautiful! This story is really sad, but beautiful. After I've heard this song the second time, it was very, very dark.

Kathrine Kishabob it's actually pretty simple if you have some animation editing experience. Most likely, they made a transparent animation filmed the live action parts of the video, and then layered the two together. It's pretty difficult to pull off but with a bit of professional experience, it's doable.

*THEORY:* Took a picture of the window when it was foggy, and when it was clear, Overlay them, Make an animation by erasing the fog from some areas, Make the windows seem slightly transparent, Take a video of Evelyn and Evelyn drawing on the window and put it behind the animation, Done. Maybe they knew the location ahead of time, drew an animation knowing the setting/ general camera movements, filmed it, giving the performers the drawing from behind the window to loosely replicate, layered animation on top applying a subtract effects layer, and added 3D fog and water droplets! I had a weird theory about the drawing on 0:52. What if one of the twins drew what she thought mrs. Bulger looked like from Sandy fishnets. And both were ok with distorting her drawing appearance. Then the other Evelyn waited for the animion with said distortions came by and she "killed"/ wiped it away. As a possibility over karma what could have happened to mrs. Bulger in a woman's prison over Sandy, the twins, her own kids, and Malissa may. Since she made them do CP unwillingly and both twins loathe her for it. Just a thought. I think this song takes place after the song “You only want me cause you want my sister” because in that song a boy was in love with one of the twins but the other twin was in love with the boy, so one of the twins killed her sister so that she could have the boy for herself, in the last line of the song it says something like “You can’t deny how much I miss her, but now you know you want me not my sister” it’s honestly really dark. But yeah, that’s what I believe.

This music video is very creative with the window fog drawings and the music complements it as well as the overall theme of the backstory very nicely too. I especially find it cool but also depressing how the entire song is about the one sister looking for the other, implying that they would be separate people in separate bodies. However, when one of the Evelyn sisters wipes away a big area of humidity along the window at the end of the video, she's showing that that's not the case, revealing her and her shoulder connecting to the other sister's who's not to far away, showing that they're conjoined twins.

The first time I was watching this, I was too focused on the song and the animation. So the ending had come as a shock. okay I have an idea about the animation was done: 1. film the actors and camera movements without the fog 2. film again, this time with the fog/condensation but the exact same movements 3. create animation based on hand and camera movements 4. lay animation over fogged window footage and mask it so where ever animation lines are, the non-fogged footage shows up underneath again this is just a guess, but fun to think about!
