Thank you for this tutorial I am doing marbling with my high school Fundamental of Arts students and New Town High School gave me a budget, so we are going to marble silk scarves this is incredible to say the least. May your business grow and you get all the blessing and good to come your way.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have gone around and around KZbin AND the jacquard site trying to figure out how to do this. I’ve been searching for about three weeks and your video (parts 1 and 2) is honestly the first thorough and clear description I have found. I can’t wait to get my Amazon delivery! 🌸 🥰

Random question - have you ever found a metallic Color to add to your silk scarves that actually Looks metallic when you are done?

Here's a suggestion that might handle the lumping/dissolve problem a little easier. A whisk works best down inside a container where it repeatedly impacts the sides, where you can stir quickly in a small circular motion. Consider putting your dry carrageenan in a "big gulp" type cup with just a portion of your total water to dissolve, and then stir your solution into the remaining bath. This idea comes from cooking, where you want to dissolve your cornstarch thickener in a shaker cup before stirring it into the larger pan, to avoid lumping. I think it might work since the carrageenan takes a while to affect the water. I love learning about this. Do you know if it would work similarly with linen, muslin or even cotton? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all your videos. I have just been doing the jacquard green label microwave method, but wanted to try the marbling. I will try it this summer. Also, I read on another blog someone who used a blender to mix up the carageenan with a small amount of water, then added it to the rest of the water and it mixed easier. Just a thought.

BRILLIANT IDEA! I had thought that adding 1 teaspoon at a time, and stirring in between was ONE POSSIBLE WAY OF MAKING IT MIX BETTER/QUICKER... BUUUT, I Really Love The Blender Idea! Just have to watch~ Something About Bubbles In The Water~ But by adding a Large Amount of Still Water, the Bubbles Shouldn't Be Too Bad, Or Too Many! I'm Excited To DO THIS! WHERE'S PART 2?!

It should be 2 tbsp carageenan for 1 gallon of water. Let it sit in fridge for at least 12 to 24 hrs to let bubbles dissolve. Mix in blender for one to 2 minutes.

hello. thanks for sharing this with us. can you pls tell me what can I use to thicken water instead of carrageenan? I just couldn't find it anywhere. seems like we don't have it in my country:(((((
@amandasdesignsofficial
@amandasdesignsofficial 3 жыл бұрын
I have only used carrageenan so I am not sure what else would work the same to thicken the water.
