Amara you a sooooooo beautiful and you have a great spirit and your positive attitude is contagious!!! Please keep doing what you are doing and speaking truth to power - every time we talk about the discrimination that we have on our own communities the closer we are to helping each other heal. Big Boy thank you, thank you, thank you ~ you are exposing us to people and information that we would not have access to you if it were not for you ~ You are soooo funny, I watched you for 48 hours straight and was bent over laughing the entire time!!!! You Go Boy! : )

It’s sad that I have explained to people that Hispanic isn’t a race Latina isn’t a race the problem is history slavery did a number on many cultures it’s just sad because I hate explaining that I’m black and Puerto Rican at the same time like the Latin culture is actually very African influenced Amara is very Latina she is the culture and I am praying for her success so I can show my future kids hey look you’re not the only one

I was not familiar with Amara until I saw her on the Breakfast Club interview which I did not care for at all. Not on Amara's part but on the maie radio personalities interviewing her. They were so uninformed to me. I love BigBoy TV. This interview is much more professional, funny, open and honest. Amara, you are amazing. Keep being you. Much success to you and your boldness and patience in educating people on colorism. It exists, its real and change will only come with dialoguing about it.

I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. As an Afro-Latina activist myself, (check out my Proyecto Mas Color videos), I feel like FINALLY there is someone that we can be proud of and look up to. Although it kinda sucks that I'm not getting any credit, everything is okay, you know why? Because she has become the image and the voice that we Latinos NEED in order to unify and change. The Latino community is so incredibly racist that it is very disheartening, hurtful, and unbelievable, but hey---it comes with the territory, literally---racism has been a very ugly disease that has crippled Latin America. But I believe that we as Latinos of all shades can come together and educate each other, and I feel like Amara La Negra is THE PERFECT person for this in the public sector. What's her name... uh, CARDI B, almost NEVER talks about her experience in America as an Afro-Latina. Maybe she is just too busy making money, or maybe she is just "passing" as a light-skinned Afro-Latina who is enjoying the spoils of being light skinned---who knows. But I REALLY appreciate Amara La Negra. She is so REAL, she is so sweet, and she is just drop dead, look-twice, break-yo-neck-gorgeous. She's doing amazing things for the Afro-Latino community and I am just glad that we are all coming out of the Afro-Latino closet and being PROUD of who we are and what we represent, unapologetically like Miss Amara La Negra.

I like Amara La Negra. And I like her drive. But to correct her, there have been many Afro Latino (he's and she's) that have been trailblazers. Does that mean you sleep on the community of people who would exclude you? No! But she should start talking about those like Celia Cruz, Tonia La Negra and basically all Caribbean Latinos born in the last 100 years because without Africano's, most of our traditions would probably have ceased to exist due to the influx of Europeans that were displacing and breeding out the Native race and traditions... I hope she continues her music and modelling career to SHOW young women positive visions of Afro Latino's in life and not just continue to talk about it.
