Miss Raquel Ugandans do it too and it’s in Africa! We got a Rwandese president and he’s from a tribe is light skin and he promotes them more and now he brought in the Chinese, Japanese, Germans, white Americans and now we got people telling their kids to marry for lighter skin. Eg my son, black but with a polish dad, I see a Ugandan girl who’s got a Japanese dad therefore she’s got less African features so I make them marry each other to ‘make pretty kids’.

Wow, I had never heard of this girl, she's amazing. Stunningly beautiful and intelligent. Can we replace Cardi B with this girl, she's the type of woman young girls can actually look up to.
@treyjones40207 жыл бұрын
John Crimmins no, she is half naked in her videos, she ain't no role model. I like Cardi's flow, I haven't even heard one verse from her. I that I hear about is Colorism problems in Spanish America. We don't live in Spanish America.
@dawn80587 жыл бұрын
Umm have you seen her videos when all she does is act like a sea toy and even made up her own ass shaking dance clearly you don't know anything about her or her career. A role model for young girls to look up too I think not when she's moaning simulating sex and constantly half naked shaking her body as if that's all she is worth . Please do your research people if you are not familiar with someone.
@jlcrimm17 жыл бұрын
Hey Troy and Dawn.... it's 2018, sex is not a bad thing, being sexy is not a bad thing, if it is all you have to offer - then that makes you someone who won't last for long. Cardi B is provoking beef with gang members, constantly picking fights with people online and on her absurd reality TV show; her music is filled with violence, threats, materialism, and pure ignorance. That is a whole lot of negative energy being pumped out through the airwaves to our youth. Amara showing some booty makes her a bad role model??? Nah, y'all just unhappy people, probably mad because this young woman is far more beautiful inside and out than yourselves.
@treyjones40207 жыл бұрын
John Crimmins maybe she should go into the strip club then. Cardi will pay the tax to the gang and then move on. It is rap, it is supposed to be full of drama. All we here about with this fraud is Colorism in Latino land which alludes to the notion that she doesn't care about Colorism in America. If she has a problem in Hispanic America with Colorism, then she should go there and protest. There are many real Dominicans that are rich and famous baseball players, why don't they put some money behind the movement. Don't complain to AAs, just star a KZbin tv channel.
@dawn80587 жыл бұрын
John Crimmins wow , very funny, you sound extremely ignorant as obviously you are. I don't know what you are not that I care to know a thing about an angry troll, I Personally am half Hispanic and have lived in NYC my entire life, and worked in the best clubs . I have also in the past bartededed and waitresses in what you would call the more upscale gentleman's clubs as well because why would i care I know who I am, and my morals and limits I have NEVER danced , I was also always asked to join the "fashion industry " and participate while being compensated in music videos , which I also turned down because of my standards and morality as I've stated just making sure you're following because your comment made you sound a little bitter and disillusioned and obviously ignorant anyway, so everything about your comment made me laugh actually thanks, myself and another commentator where trying to tell you about her since you which look completely Caucasian I cannot tell nor do I care but what I'm saying is you probably know and whish you had another clue Into Dominican culture besides maybe screwing one of their hookers lol on how sexually perverse it is not in a "sexy" way as you were "assuming " because you know you make an ass of yourself when you assume"! and just like the saying you were! COMPLETELY wrong on EVERYTHING. Deal with it.I left the club business behind, Thank God because I wanted to get closer to him I don't knock it though as long as it's done with standards and morality ,and it was only bartending and cocktailing anyway but I saw and felt the difference and even at what were videos and fashion events I saw and felt nothing "sexy" its called RAUNCHY and cheap and how much is this girl gonna do type of vibe in that industry alot....so you like an angry ignorant keyboard warrior you decided to guess about my looks, education ,whole career and background from behind a screen you sound like a genius! Wow , and another thing my mother's first language was Spanish as well (I am bilingual also, you probably dont even know or even understand sny of her songs lmao) and was sent on an airplane at age 6 thrown into the American school system and speaks perfect, eloquent Spanish and English with no accent AT ALL in either language and has dual citizenship . And as far as ever wearing and shaking my ass as she has and like I said u obviously are a pig and have no class to even know and decipher what sexiness and trashiness is because I never even showed that much bartending in a strip club than she does in her videos ! Lmaoo again, it was just tight all black outfits for me some girls choose to show more, with booty shorts , me I didn't have too! Get a clue and some knowledge you obviously have neither don't bother to respond you are blatantly the one angry ,clueless, ignorant, and could NEVER tell me about a business I've lived and a culture I am lmaooool blocked hahaha wow what a tard! Go read or travel and learn something .Cono, que tipico ignorante! Jajaja

JJ 51 I'm talking about currently. Here in America you have the black lives matter and not to mention people can even loose their jobs or fans for being racist. In Latin America there's never been anyone stand up so the colorist views are very much openly there just like Amar said..they blatantly told her they would call her for a gangster or slave role. If that happened here there would be backlash..in Latin America there isn't it's just normal.

This happens in Asia too, not just in DR and the Caribbean, this is a fact. Can't wait til a spokesperson comes out of there. They even have a product called "Fair and Lovely" that's supposed to make black skin look white, look it up. It's a very successful company, look their commercials up on KZbin. America's been the only country speaking on these matters. Representatives in other countries haven't had a chance to speak up so nothing changed in those countries. THEY DON'T KNOW THAT IS THERE LAND...they thought they were from spain...and these were the mestizos..not the actual white mexicans. History WASHED!

Some of these comments really make me ashamed to be African American,the ignorance in these comments from people who look just like Amara are blasphemous. Then y'all wonder why black people from other countries look down on us. Why are we always the first to put our own people down?
@dahmarie987 жыл бұрын
Micheal Johnson All this I know but that wasn't my point. I'm talking about the African Americans in these comments who are saying she needs to stop "complaining",they're not sure how to take her seriously,she sounds uneducated & are just oblivious to the struggles she's gone through and still going through.
@dahmarie987 жыл бұрын
As a dark skin black female I'm very aware that others stereotype African Americans. I go through it all the time, that just wasn't the point of my comment at all. But thanks for your input.

The fact that this woman is taking a stand for so many woke Dominican women should be applauded. When i first arrived in 2012 to now ive seen the shift. So many women have natural fros and rocking the curly fros and embracing their afro heritage. Older women don't understand.. they think it's ugly. But those are the barriers that she's trying to break down.

@aliseinwonderland62327 жыл бұрын
utubemoi agreed... & Ebro was asking similar questions to Ctg, just less tone deaf. They were also askin y does she feel she struggled when she managed to break through in the Latin market - Ctg asked the same thing ... Amara was also articulating these issues much clearer in this interview better . Alot of BFC mistake was that they kept referencing American market when Amara was specifically addressing Latin American market and their lack of Dark skin representation.

I couldn't more in tune with what has been said on this interview so well spoken. I was born and raised in Spain and racism isolation has been constant but I considered myself Spanish.It is not hard to understand that there are black in South America or whatever place might be, if you look back to history, is pure logic as 1+1=2! Migrations are part of human history. In fact, I have Haitian roots and as my mom says we are all connected, still she recognises Haiti as Africa but in a different location. Leaving Spain helped me to be in contact with my race in all empowering levels.... being able to walk on the street and not feeling staring eyes is the most enjoyable feeling. I love Amara's music can't stop listening What a bam bam, keep reaching high to make us all proud! It is great to see artists like Choc Quib Town, Ibeyi, Iza, Bomba Estereo.... besides Afro-Americans cause I feel there still areas that need to catch up on representation/ showing mix influences!!
