I consider them a bit of a "guilty pleasure," but I seriously dig them. Seeing them open for Within Temptation was THE best concert I've ever seen. Could not believe how great they sounded live. And, let's face it, Elize is ridiculously hot in addition to having a fantastic voice.

I had said that I was going to have to "suffer" through them in order to enjoy Within Temptation back in October. I was completely convinced that they were nothing more than a studio band who would SUCK live. I could not have been more wrong. This band totally rocks live. I could not believe how good they were. Amaranthe+Within Temptation was an EPIC combo. Best two for one ever. Total fan now having seen them live. Yeah, lyrics need a little help, but they rock in person. All 3 singers sound exactly the same live as they do in their videos. MUCH respect!!!!!!!

Yeah, the girls are pretty and Elize is too. But, honestly, I dislike the cheerleader part for a few reasons. First it doesn't really fit with the video's theme. It shows the band doing bad-ass fighting, her included, and then she's a cheerleader? Does not compute. Lastly, I REALLY like that Amaranthe videos give generally equal screen time to all the band members, not just her. No Doubt was a great band, but things changed when their whole thing became "Look how pretty Gwen Stefani is" don't you think?

We love her too much already. (=^..^=)~ 2. #DropDeadCynical is, for now, the most pop Amaranthe song I've heard due to a lot of spunky attitude in the rhythm, but it fits the song. Although the ring fights aren't as thrilling as the fight scenes in #TheNexus because in the latter, they're getting away from villains whereas in here you find them all showing off or training or something. 3. To the people who hate the song/video/band so much, don't waste too much time raging on the Internet about it, because everything has a flaw, or else doesn't exist. Don't overheat your gadgets thinking of words to describe the flaws (I did it once; my laptop almost died) you see in the band's personnel, style, or work; there always will be and you'll always see it if you look closely, but it's up to you how that one little flaw, or its disagreement with your standards, can affect your perception of the big picture. You know, I actually disagree with your first 2 points. There are way more harsh vocals in this single than in any other Amaranthe single to date. Jake is put way back (90% of what he does in this song is providing vocal harmonies for Elize in the chorus) and Henrik has an entire bridge/verse for himself, while also sharing one with Jake and one with Elize. So no, in this case, Elize is definitely not the center of attention. It may look that way because, well, truth be told, she's naturally the focus of attenion by the male viewers. There's no problem or harm in that, but know that this is an illusion. Just because you're focused on one person in particular doesn't mean the actual focus lies on this person. Your second point, this being the most poppy song of Amaranthe so far: Amaranthine, Burn With Me and basically the entire debut album all say hi.
