Usually that means you are lacking oxygen, so that’s why your body causes you to yawn so it forces you to breathe in more air :) Try to breath from your diaphragm before you open your mouth to sing. It helps a lot! (Check my newest video on how to)

You're a soprano right? Possibly a lyric soprano? Then you have thin vocal chords not thick. It is mezzos who have thicker voice/heavier weight, not soprano. Soprano has harder time warming up and being heard over orchestra of music because their voices are so much thinner/airy/weightless. Mezzos are the opposite. You seem to have gotten that a bit confused.

‘Talking voice’ is actually the chesty voice I think. When you are singing low notes, you reach deep into your stomach, if you get me. Your head voice is for high notes and that is the voice you are describing. So go look up some videos on how to improve your chest voice! Hope this helps even tho it’s super late lol

My teacher (band/choir but I was only in band tbh I think I sound bad ngl) made these auditions for the Star-Spangled Banner for our middle school graduation...so I decided to do it and I really thought I could do it I even practiced but by the time that it was my turn I was shaking (keep in mind that not many people liked me cause I was “annoying” for being happy) so my legs were shaking and then I failed so bad my voice was shaky and i heard people laughing and i kept voice cracking I cried in class I never excepted to be chosen cause she always picks her favorites (I obviously was not) and yeah that’s the time that I hated my voice more than ever! Meggi K. I would suggest keep singing, sing for 30 mins straight. Songs with high notes, songs with low notes. If you want to do some casual warm up, you could do buzz rolls or sirens. Those are one of my favs 😊

When I sing to my friends, my class mates they says that I have a really beautiful voice but when I record and hear it my voice is just so bad . And my mom also says that ur voice is not that beautiful. So one day I asked them all to swear if I have good voice or not And they all sweared that I have a good voice.
