I found that the actual band for the Amazfit is larger than the Mi Band 5 (or there is a hole close to the watch face). For most this is not an issue, but my wrist is 5.5 inches. I was going to switch it with the Mi Band 5 strap; this is possible, but you have to force it in. I did not want to force it and may go back to the Mi Band due to sizing issues. I figured I would comment on the band as folks kept asking about the ability to interchange straps.

Can you tell me how the swimming feature is supposed to be activated and deactivated? I turn it on and I have no idea how to use it. Then I can't stop it. I hard press all over. Tap it. Etc. I am struggling with it. Do you know if I have to tap the screen every time I lap the pool??? I like the device. TO ANYONE HAVING THE ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO POWER THE WATCH ON, EVEN WHEN CHARGING: Basically, I contacted the company and it seems that this was a big oversight in the manual. Super great, complex manual, but they forgot to tell you how to turn it on lmao. Basically, the band 5 almost always comes completely dead from the factory. After all, it is a brand new battery. And, with the kind of battery it uses, it takes about 20 minutes to “pop off” and wake up the battery, if you get my drift. So, just plug the watch’s charger into a usb brick and click the other end of the charger onto the back of the watch, and boom. It’s charging. Give it at least 30 minutes , or 60% before the setup process. NOW: FOR PEOPLE WHO SAY THE BATTETY IS BS Again, with this kind of battery, it takes 1-2 weeks for it to “grow”, so expect the battery the first couple days to be dismal. But, for me, after 2 weeks, I can last an entire day with everything turned on and go to bed at 80%. That reminds me of Another thing. If there is one thing that smart watch owners hate doing, it’s charging their smart watch. Well, this one charges super quickly. So, i would advise to wear this thing 24/7 (unless you don’t want to wear it to sleep, in that case charge it at night) and only charge it while you are during the shower. It often charges to 99% or so, while i’m in the shower. And I take quick showers. Hope this helps!

I wonder why they didn't include a blood pressure monitor. I find that useful in watches half this price and it's surprising accurate compared to measurements that GPs and hospitals have taken. For that reason I'll pass and pin some hope on the Amazfit Band 6 - whenever that will be. Hopefully it will include a speaker as well as a blood pressure monitor. This is very good value, I realised today that with Apple Watch OS 7 Apple have actually disabled the Force Touch / 3D Touch on every Apple watch it's installed on!! They have forcefully disabled a hardware feature that I and millions of others paid for! And have replaced it with long press.. It's a shame this tracker doesn't have an ECG sensor on it.

Hi, I have Amazfit Band 5. It register If I do Yoga, but somehow it does not register if i walk. If I am using band, i go to workout click on walking and start .. after count of 3 it will start. but somehow after 5 , 15, 20, 30 minutes when i stop, It had counted minutes, steps, on display, but when i stop it, it says distance too short to register.. .. same from Phone i go to my tools - walking - start - on count of 3 I can see display on my band but it does not register on band it will show minutes and steps. I love it, 22 days of battery life, text messages, fb messages, audio control, water resistant, sleep tracker and the list goes on. I do have NFC, but it only works in china(Ali Pay). I read the early announcments about the Mi Band 5 that said it was going to have SpO2 and a few other things. One of the things they said was that it had improved sleep tracking and importantly could track more than one sleep per day, I have chronic fatigue and that would be really helpful. After finding out the Amazfit Band rather than the Mi had SpO2 I decided to buy that, as I thought it would be useful to see if I was perhaps having breathing issues while asleep. I've been pretty disappointed as the sleep tracking has been less acurate than the Mi Band 4 and Zepp refuses to acknowledge when I've slept twice or more in a day. Often I'll see the red LED flashing away, but I can't find a graph for the results in Zepp. Also, Zepp is such a rubbish name!

Yeah, if there are no bands for this and the size is different then perhaps a miband 5 or even 4 with a greater amount of watch faces and a better battery life is a better choice for now, hard to decide.

I bought several in different styles not knowing of the size difference. All the rubbery ones fit great, including my preferred type with the velcro straps. I also bought 3 straps with metal surrounds - I managed to get the Amazfit into one of them, but it took too much force and was unwise. It was ridiculously difficult to remove and left a mark on the side. So, rubber yes! Everything else no!

Having owned many HR monitor watches over the last 20 years, I decided to not upgrade to another Apple watch (due to its poor battery life) and instead go for the Mi Band 5 due to its amazing battery life and 24hr HR monitoring capability - important for my op recovery. In the process of trying to find tips and tricks for it on YT, I came across your channel. Where I discovered I should have bought the Amazfit Band 5 instead - as both are made by the same company - and the Amazfit has SpO2 and Alexa support. 🤦🏻‍♂️ But I have since bought the Amazfit Band 5 for my brother. Although I am pleased with my MiB5, it has some major app flaws. With the Amazfit Band 6 rumoured to be coming out this summer - do you know: a) when it is likely to be available in UK? b) whether it will be upgraded to allow continuous SpO2 monitoring? (like the Honor Band 6 now is) c) any other expected new features? Many thanks

Purchased the Amazfit Band 5 from the link and am generally very pleased with it. I compared the SPO2 reading from the band to the reading provided by my stand-alone SPO2 device. The two readings were almost identical (95%). The only fly in the ointment is that although I have managed to link the Zepp app to my Alexa account, the Band reports that it cannot control my smart devices that are linked to my Alexa account. I have been investigating this with the Amazfit support desk and have just been informed that the Band cannot control Smart Devices linked to the Alexa account. Very confusing. :(

@@StusReviewsUK Set up an Alexa routine that switched on two of my lights with a test phrase. This test phrase/routine works fine when used via the Alexa app but not when triggered from the band. Band says 'Hmm, I'm not sure'. Interestingly since the recent app and firmware update, the Alexa account page in the Zepp app does not mention anything about controlling lights etc. Band firmware version 1.0.1.26, Zepp app Version 5.3.1. Perhaps, they have pulled this feature. Does it still work on your band?

I bought my amazfit 5 4 days ago and I'm in love with it! I had a Samsung gear s3 frontier before but it's sux compared to the amazfit 5! This "bracelet" is so lightweight and comfortable compared so the gear s3. And it has more functions in the app! S3 is 7 times more expensive!

@@MrDayday4641 it's not easy to find info about these. Their is a xiaomi MI band 5 also. It the same thing but cheeper. And best thing then have the same bracelet. I bought from shein several colors they fit. I bought for Miband 5. It's just some 0.1 mm difference. The silicone fits but not if in hard plastic. You need to stretch the silicone a bit to fit, but it's perfect! You can ask me more if you want, I'll try to answer your questions :)

I have my music right there, and I can easily change it if need be. I also have my distance and pace information. What I'm trying to do is mimic that situation for outdoor running. I haven't seen onboard music and gps in fitness bands, so I was starting to look at smart watches for running. They're so expensive though, I'm starting to think a fitness band plus a small clip-on mp3 player with bluetooth might be the way (I think I could get both for under $200). Any thoughts?

Before buying. Note these these things. 1. Your charging may stuck to 99% 2. Battery may drain too fast. These are pretty much the problems I've faced. :)

NFC payments are always a finicky subject and I assume that the amount of effort necessary to implement it in each country with their own sets of regulations, dozens of banks and so on makes it cost prohibitive. For example, while I use Google Pay in Ireland it is not supported on Wear OS devices, only on Android phones. My bank, one of the biggest in the country supports only Google Pay and Apple Pay. There's another bank that I'm considering switching to that also supports Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay and (Sony) Wena Pay. Samsung Pay is not offered in Ireland at all. It's all a bit of a mess.

I have the same doubt! I like the mi 6 display more, but the amazfit has Alexa functionality. So how well does Alexa work?

@@DIAvs89 works really great, I bought a smart lamp and I can talk with the band to tuen the light red, blue, reduce power, etc. And when i doing diner I can chqnge the music talking to the band. It really works very well. No doubt amazfit band 5 with alexa is much bwtter than mi band 5. Besides that I used the O2 meter trhought covid pandemic and helped a lot. Go for Amazfit and you will be happy. Screen size of mi band worth nothing in a little band like these. Functionality is more important and amazfit does it great.

Is there anyway to get the spo2 sensor to take readings periodically. I am interested in the readings during sleep. Low oxygen readings during sleep indicates the possibility of sleep apnea.
