Amazfit Helio Smart Ring Review: A Failure?!

This is not a failure, it is actually very complimentary to Amazfit's smart watches and fitness bands. I use an Amazfit watch with GPS for tracking my runs and general fitness and sleep tracking. But I also like traditional watches and I have a few that I want to wear, I can either wear a watch on each wrist or a ring like this and a traditional watch and I can revert back to the watch when I want to use the GPS for a run. Lastly, even if it has poor battery life if you are in the Amazfit ecosystem and you want everything in Zepp it is still the best option.

Well said! But that doesn't fix the battery thing... The ew Ringconn can last up to 12 days, which makes the Helio look even worse.

Actually it does fix the battery problem because you put the ring on the charger when your exercising if you have an amazfit watch and can just use the ring when you don’t want to wear a watch or just for sleep tracking at night if the watch is uncomfortable therefore extending the battery life of the ring.

First comment on point with what I wanted to hear! Thanks! I hate wearing sports watches everywhere I go bc I still love my mechanical traditional watches. All I need is a step counter for the rest of the day while I'm not engaged in a workout and I can still wear my diver as a daily 👌

It seems to me Amazfit was not too smart about their smart ring. The price seems high to me for its inaccurate readings and short battery life and size limitations.

Now that the paid options have been added free, Aura Sleep and Zepp Fitness, and the ring has also been reduced to £150, would you now consider this for a much better review compared to the one you put into the video? Cheers 👍🏻

As a nursing student. I can‘t wear anything on my wrists, much less my fingers. But I can put my fitness tracker on my ankles tho 🤓😂

Still counts steps and stuff. Sad that most of these trackers don't have a dedicated ankle mode.

Bought for 145chf on Amazon soo the price battle take a big advantage if you use this ring for recovery from sport it's perfect thing.None ring can't replace sport smart watch but Amazfit have a great thing to offer for the price of expensive ring only (bundle watch and ring less than 370 chf)...

I just can't see the point of such rings. You need a screen of some sort, a phone basically, when you can get all the features on a wristband watch which has a screen built in and doesn't require the phone to operate. And, at $300, the price is ridiculous. And that's before you even talk about the poor performance of many of the measurables.

It’s 199 on Amazon now. It’s on sale. It’s for those who don’t want to wear a smart watch and it’s great for those who want to track stuff but wear a regular watch.
