After 1 month using T-REX 3. These are some specs I am totally satisfy will my money: + Crazy long battery: 15-17 days (I run/bike 4-5 times per week, 1 hour each) + Excellent GPS, fast and accuracy. Exactly the same when you compare to Garmin 965 (which cost 3x more) + Zepp coach is amazing, help me run my first Half Marathon. The training program is really customized to each user + Text to speech function is so much handy. You can easily use your voice to reply to a chat (Messenger/Whatsapp/Message...). Also work well with my language in Vietnamese + The AI also very useful. I usually ask for weather, things that I want to understand more... But some cons need to be consider: - No Speaker - Pretty big and heavy if you have small hand - The rubber band sometime make me itchy, just need to wash it everytime I workout

I am into climbing/mountaineering. We generally use 2 watches, one as backup. My Tactix7 was sooo inaccurate for SpO2 (as important for us as heart rate), that I got a TRex2 as the backup. I ended up giving my Tactix7 to a relative: other than the backup flashlight, not a huge upgrade over my old Fenix6. Just got my TRex3, thanks to your excellent review. I haven’t climbed yet, but the offline maps look very promising. I still like my Garmins but, the clunkyness, slow renderings, and specially the unbelievable bugs on the Fenix8 not only stopped me (and team) from even trying to get them: we have ‘Nokia-feelings’ (Blackberry-feelings, perhaps?) towards our Garmin equipments: excellent brand that, overconfident on their uniqueness, failed to be ahead of the game. What the hell, Garmin! Being challenged by Apple, I can understand. Loosing the bid to Amazfit, we are all stunned.

I love the new features that you outlined like voice to text, photos in text and other features you already mentioned. **CONS; I am a bit perplexed and disappointed after owning the T-Rex 2. It appears there are a few features that are 1 step forward and 2 steps back from the T-Rex 2. Examples are I have lost the ability to use the remote camera (android user). I also really liked the music/podcast streaming option controlling your phone streaming content which is now gone. These two alone don't ruin me on the watch, but they are features that I believe someone dropped the ball on. Just an opinion😉.
@ChaseTheSummit2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing. A couple of comments: Remote camera control is available on T-Rex 3 and works on both iPhone and Android in my testing (iPhone 16 / Google Pixel 9 Pro). Music controls are also available, you simply tap on the icon in the lower left corner and select "Control Phone" after that music controls will be available for your phone.
@paulbaroni29262 ай бұрын
Wait, what... In your own video you say streaming music isn't supported and I have found no way to make it work. Including your description above. @ChaseTheSummit2 ай бұрын
Tough call, the Fenix 6 still has some advantages like Body Battery and sleep metrics seeming more accurate. Then there's the mapping which is still superior on garmin even though it's a bit laggy. The T-Rex 3 feels more modern and has a more intuitive user interface. It provides a funner "smartwatch" experience but I'd say it's still not as capable in terms of being a sport watch. It will boil down to your needs and what you're looking for.

how long does it take to charge? does showing a map & gpx track always need to be in a routing or exercise mode and thus need more battery? I think about using it for a thru hike with lots of GPX tracks and actually a huge offline map or pushing the amazfit map from the phone again and again....not sure if this is convenient. I think editing routes on a different app and push a bunch of gpx files to the Zepp app is no big deal, as long as the import for more files and push them to the watch works fine. cause great map apps (like Locus Maps & BRouter) can do the editing much better.

Thank you for the video. What is the best sleep tracker for 600 US $ for Android users. I do not want to pay subscription.

How do you get this watch to sync data to Apple fitness? I know it works with Apple health but nothing transfers to the fitness app so my rings don’t close.

Do you find it comparable to the Amazfit Falcon you have previously tested and reviewed? Thanks!

The Falcon has nicer build quality but the accuracy of the T-Rex 3 is far superior.
