A few years ago as I perused a book store, the Lord kept putting your book, "Kisses from Katie," in my path. Eventually on another visit, I purchased the book and was so inspired by your story as I have always felt my passion was connected to serving in Africa. Since then, I've sponsored Christmas for two years for an orphanage in Liberia, West Africa, and am sponsoring one of the children there to attend college this year in America. But God is not finished with me yet. As he is not with you. Keep serving!

I just rediscovered this channel after reading her book years ago. What an encouragement to see someone who has followed God's leading and who has been blessed, not materially but in terms of impact in loving others, and discovering joy in all that!

Katie, I just finished reading Kisses from Katie that a friend loaned me. Thank you for sharing your love, your faith, your failures, your triumphs, and especially your desire to serve our Lord with your entire being. Thank you also for sharing your wonderful family with us...the Lord has truly blessed you! I have never felt called to serve in other countries, but your story is an encouragement to me to give my all in serving Him here in my own neighborhood. I will pray for you and for Amazima Ministries as well as the beautiful children you minister to. ...oh, and I was thrilled to find out today from your website that the Lord sent you a husband! God is so good! Can't wait to read Daring to Hope! Stay strong in the Lord... Your sister in Christ, Terri

Dear Katie, I have been to Ugandain 2012 and spent three weeks with my dear friend Sarah Mulwana. I would lover to come back and help in some way. Do you know the Mulwanas? they provide the milk, yogurt ect. to all of Uganda and they also have the Nice house of plastics and so many more businesses to help their country. They have the Jesa Mixed farm where they have their Dairy a couple hours outside of Kampala. I have had all my vaccinations. I am 64 years old though.???Let me know. I always wondered why God sent me there. It in itself is quite a miracle I hope to share with you someday. Meanwhile I send so many prayers to the beautiful people of Uganda. Laurie

Lauretta Nedwick God did not send you there. You think you make a difference going there even though you have no skills? What would you be doing to help the people that they can’t do themselves? Be careful not to go down there with the “white saviour complex” thinking you are here to rescue a village. Ask yourself first: what would I be able to help with? And am I truly needed?
@ahayahsdaintydaughterzyash81305 жыл бұрын
Lauretta, I do not know you. But I know the Father , and I know He sends people places , and sometimes we don't know why. Sometimes we never fully know that's where faith and trust in the Lord always comes in , but refer to Proverbs 24:12 . God knows your heart , He knows mine and He knows the person below, and you would know better than us if the Lord sent you. Though it is important for any of us (I'm not white ). But I am American to have the "savior" complex,I didn't get that from your comment. If you did have it then I pray for God's correction if you didn't then I pray you were not discouraged with the comment below. I remember the first time I went to Uganda I was told not to have the savior complex either , and when I got there, through the Lord's grace ,and their genuine love they saved me. Yes I gave them good, yes I have paid for tuition, and other things , but that is basic scripture we are supposed to help those that are within our power to help. YET it was The beauty, the natural resources the faith like I have never seen before in my eyes makes Uganda more rich than America,we can't give them those things and part of my encouragement to them was for then to know that , but I know the Lord sent me, and I know through me the Lord blessed the body I was sent to encourage and they blessed me . That is the life of a missionary, the book of acts , and Paul's letter clearly confirm how we are to be blessings and blessed at the same time. Be blessed sis, may you grow in discernement with the Lord and be in the Father's will at all times. ❤️ * By the way all of us have a skill or gift from the Lord, some as simple as mercy. ❤️❤️ But it is God's love,His power,His will that sends us to places and people to love them as He does and be a light for His people , so yes if you are in Christ then you have something to offer. But yes whereever we go we also have something to learn too❤️

I'm confused by how she goes from saying that the children have families, and they are working to make it possible for the children to live with their families, to suddenly starting the process of adoption for children who might have families...why not just call it fostering or another form of the orphanage system that she started working in? why suddenly say she is making a family? I find this unbelievable and suspicious.
@joshuarodenburg72595 жыл бұрын
Those children she adopted had lost their family.
@ahayahsdaintydaughterzyash81305 жыл бұрын
Yes if you read the book. She explains all of the stories behind adopting her children. This video is only a snippet of her testimony . ❤️ In fact there is a situation in the book where she wanted to adopt a child who's family came , it is one of the heartbreaking testimonies. ❤️

@@ahayahsdaintydaughterzyash8130 how is it heartbreaking if the child was reunited with her mother?!
@ahayahsdaintydaughterzyash81305 жыл бұрын
As someone who has felt the love of a Mother to a child I can not have but also was abandoned by her biological parents. It is heartbreaking , Katie was every ounce her mother for a long time before her mother returned right before she literally adopted her. It is beautiful that her biological mother came back but we can not dismiss the pain Katie felt and probably still does at times , so yes it is heartbreaking to give a child you couldn't love more if she came from you, to someone she doesn't even know yet as her mother. The child was very young , but Katie helped her adjust with her mother. That is true love and it pricks our heart. I hope you do understand 💛

I do trust all these people have been born again as I did not hear the Gospel provided. As women we are to dress in shamefaced modesty. I like her long dresses, but why does she show cleavage as a woman of God when we are commanded to dress in shamefaced modesty so men look on us as sisters in all purity?
