To make it less suspicious if your spectator sees your stack, don't just use hearts. Instead maybe use hearts for the even cards and spades for the uneven cards, that way you can still show the entire deck and in the end don't have to do the wrist kill to prevent suspicion

Congrats on rediscovering the principle behind the Lazy Man's Card Trick by Al Koran. Also, you'll find a really similar trick in Encyclopedia of Card Tricks by Jean Hugard (well, edited by him, with tricks by all kinds of people). Those older books have almost all of the tricks people are "reinventing" and teaching on KZbin. Seeing them though, can be a lot easier than trying to wade through the prose, but Royal Road to Card Magic and Encyclopedia, for less than $20 together in the Dover editions, are full of even better stuff. Thanks for putting an old classic front and center for a new audience.

Tip: Do an in-the-hand spread, not a tabled spread, and keep the hearts inaccessible. Hold the cards firmly, then tell them to "touch" a card, and THEN loosen up and let them take it if it's an acceptable card. NEVER say "pick" or "take" a card if it isn't a 100% free choice. You cannot touch an inaccessible card, and in the very off chance they get grabby, pull back and repeat the touch command.

Only problem that someone did to me regarding this was that they actually figured out half of the trick. Not sure if really smart but after picking the 8 of ♥ and counting 8 cards and finding their card, sadly they looked at the cards they counted face down and saw all are ♥s . It kinda blocked me there -_- That risk out of the way, this trick is really amazing, cool and fun to do! Thanks a bunch!

If you are comfortable with the number of cards to cut so you are sure to hit your cards in the middlecut, then the sequence of cards don't even need to be suited. To make it less obvious after the trick is done.

I invented this idea of using round things to help move vehicles. I call them “wheels”. ;) That’s how your video comes across to me. A British magician named Al Koran invented a trick named “The Lazy Man’s Card” trick a very long time ago. Al Koran died in 1972. His trick used Ace through King, instead of 2 through King, but otherwise, it’s the same trick. And, he had a good presentation for the trick. People should learn magic before they teach it. Magic is a field with secrets, and creators deserve better than having their ideas claimed by other people. It’s even worse when it’s by people who don’t know how to perform before large audiences of strangers, and instead of performing, just reveal other magician’s secrets to other people.

An alternative to revealing that the card at the cut does the Magic, the Magician could just claim to have a sense of where their card is in words or in some cases letters 2= "Your Card", 3="Find Your Card" 4= Is This Your Card? 5 = MAGIC turn over C 6= MAGIC turn over next card. 7=The Cards Know Where Your Card Is 8. The Cards Know Where Your Card Is turn over next. 9. Cut 3 cards to bottom. Magic then next card, 10 = Cut 5 cards, turn over C of Magic Jack Cut 5 turn over after Magic Queen = The Cards Know, W is the 12th letter. King The Cards Know, Turn over next card

A way to make sure that they 100% cut to the right cards is to sorta hypnotize the spectator by telling them you want it to be a random choice, so you tell them to cut the cut about half the cards maybe once or twice BUT make sure they don’t complete the cut if they don’t get it on the first try, so if they don’t get it on the first try just tell them to put the cards down and cut again, if they don’t get it the second try, tell them to do it once more for good measure, or if you want to play it safe, let them cut the cards a few times and then you yourself can cut the cards if they aren’t getting it

You should tell them to cut to half cause ur about to count to what card they cut to, and if they cut unevenly then there wont be enough cards to count. 👍

@coolmagicforum60187 жыл бұрын
Hmm...This is similar to Lazy Man's Card Trick. If the spectator cuts to other than a heart, it isn't that the trick won't work. It's actually more fun if you keep making them cut until they cut to the suit you want. LMCT can be done with an unopened deck. You literally never touch the deck. The spectator can even open the deck and remove the Jokers and ad cards. Cool trick with the potential for some fun with the spectator!
