Brings back memories. I flew from Manila to HK in Jan. 2011 on Cebu Pacific. Had a window seat . I was amazed at the view and the wonder that is Hong Kong!

Woooo this is a great vid! I've been to HK once but I don't remember all the views (it was a few years ago) so thank you so much for allowing me to see it again with this vid :) The only thing I remember is seeing all the water as we got lower and lower and thinking "Where the hell is the airport we're gonna land in water aaaarrrgh!!" We flew right over Hong Kong in '09, providing spectacular views of the city However, in my recent visit last week, our plane had to veer out around the city due to clouds :((( And our jet landed so hard haha, but it was a jumbo jet, so I expected a hard landing

Amazing video. I would love to go to Hong Kong but I also fear the weather. I've heard discouraging reports that Hong Kong humidity is absolutely terrible. I'm a Floridian and although I've dealt with humidity, I HATE it. No one in Florida gets used to it. It's one of the reasons why I'm leaving. If Hong Kong is worse, then that trip might be put on the backburner.

When I went there, we landed past midnight and I saw nothing but a number of little boats with lights on them darting around. Nonetheless, even that was extraordinary. I miss this place.

They don't contain anything. They are a part of the mechanism that controls the flaps. Flaps help the plane stay in the air at lower airspeeds (during landing and take-off).
