Richard, never have I seen you so animated during a nightshoot. Like a kid in a candy shop! The aurora does that to people for some strange reason. I'm so glad that night sky lovers from both hemispheres got to witness a part of history. This was officially the strongest solar storm for 21 years beating the Halloween 2003 storm. I just wished Alyn Wallace was still with us to witness it 💚 brilliant video

Richard simply magnificent photos, the panoramas of the Silos, its silhouette and the other photos are fantastic, it was a memorable night across the planet. On Friday morning, I and 3 friends moved 260km south to the darkest area of Portuga, during dinner, which was still daylight, one of my friends and I received an alert about the Northern Lights, but we didn't pay much attention because we thought they were only for northern Europe, when we arrived at our location to photograph (Noudar Castle) I was the first to take a photo and I was incredulous with the white balance that I had put on the camera, the entire landscape was Pink and Red, but no, it was really a gigantic Northern Lights that reached 37º Latitude, we stayed taking photos until the sun rose. Thank you for sharing this magnificent Southern night with us, a hug Richard. Beautiful tribute to Alyn 👏🙏

Ireland, best I've seen since 2003 and like yourself I can't believe how lucky I was to get a clear night.
