The amazing (man made) beach club here in Doha, Qatar. This incredible beach, bar and restaurant was created just for the Fifa world cup. Not a bad little set up at all, with a fully stocked bar and choice of fine wines, cocktails and beers!

I've been to Doha several times from the UK as 2-day stopovers to get to SE Asia, other Arab countries, Maldives and Seychelles and every time I've stopped in Doha for visiting, it gets nicer and nicer every time - people are very friendly and food is good. Pity about us losing to the French but I hope you really enjoyed Qatar on the whole

The same here. Flown through many times but never thought of stopping. It's really amazed me. The only thing missing is I'd of liked to of spent the day with a "Qatari" and seen a bit more of their way of life, but finding them appears to be like finding gold dust.....🤣

@@danielanderson888 LOL You'll find Qataris in high places: Here are some suggestions on where to go: Imam Ibn Abdul Wahab Mosque, Aspire Park, Katara Cultural Village and Beach, National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art, Desert Jeep Safari, Dhow Cruise at night, The Pearl. Obviously you have visited Souq Waqif, Corniche and the main skyline. I have been to these places on my 2-day stopovers

@@danielanderson888 Education City Mosque is another one to visit which is stunning. I'm a Muslim born and bred in England and visited many mosques around the world. Normally tours happen more in the mornings between 9.00am until 12.00 noon as there are no prayers between this period but different mosques have different times for tours. Oh yes, we are absolutely freezing here in Good old Blighty with snow and frosts everywhere. Have a good one Dan

If you can make it to Katara cultural village do that too. Its an incredible place - if you do find time to go there here's a list of things to do there: 1) visit the outdoor mall 2) eat the best burger you will ever have in your life from a shop called CHKN - the burger is called the Maple Siracha Burger 3) go to Karak and Chapati, order a karak tea or a karak milkshake and some form of chapati with whatever you'd like inside - this shop is really famous and has a franchise in Knightsbridge London 4) visit the ampitheatre 5) walk along the beachfront 6) visit katara mosque - there's also educational content here and once more if you time it with a prayer time you can hear some of the best reciters in the world lead the prayer

As a british Muslim, it so nice to see all nations all faiths , working together in a islamic country, them girls u were talking to look like they were from Europe , what country? hope they benefited in Qater to work enjoy different cultures make money and be safe . They are also from great Christian country with great values that Qatar can also appreciate and learn from them too . Great stuff. Love it. @@danielanderson888 i would also make an effort to visit education city mosque, its absolutely stunning. 4:45pm and 6:30pm are the timings for the two prayers read aloud so if you could visit education city mosque at that time it'd be ideal

Yes, 150 Qatari, but they give you a 100 Qatari voucher, so essentially it costs you 50 Qatari. It's not cheap, but worth it for a one off day at a pristine and perfect beach.

Yes, I think most seem happy to be here and given the opportunity. I spoke with some local Qatari women at Souk Wakif, but they told me they didn't want to be filmed. I was surprised at the amount of botox, designer label bags, and makeup they indulge in......Such an eye opener, and not what I expected.
