I came across this recipe and made it for dinner and they were fantastic and very crispy. I was somewhat uneasy using the baking powder but believe me its the secret in ingredient. I used a slightly higher temperature 425 for 20 minutes and turned the wings for another 20 minutes and had great results. No more frying chicken in oil from this point on!

Greetings. You should know that these are outstandingly delicious! I’ve been preparing them for my son for about 6 months and I’d made some for him a couple of days ago and he kept saying, while eating, “Mom, these wings are SO good!” I said to him “I’ve never left comments for the person who shared this recipe.” Correcting that now…you should know that these are spectacular and I follow the recipe and I’ve not altered it any. Many thanks to you for your generosity for sharing. The smell/aroma will wake the dead, that’s how fantastic the aroma is in your space while cooking. Peace to you.

Just did these for dinner this evening and they were a HUGE hit! The rack is a must to get an all round crisp to the wings. The kids loved them too. Jen's spice mix is not spicy at all just full of flavor. I even did a dozen wings in a ground ginger, ground valencia orange peel (the sweet kind not the bitter) and sesame seed blend with the baking powder and some salt and pepper and it was out of this world! Definitely doing these wings over again for the big game! Sooo much cheaper then ordering wings.

I made these last night and this recipe HERE is the BEST one of tried!👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽You DEFINITELY want your wings to be as dry as possible. You can dry them with paper towels and even put them in the fridge for at least 30 mins before applying your seasonings. I ended up using my Creole Seasoning mix I had on hand along with the other seasonings minus the cumin (I didn’t have any on hand).

Great recipe! I've been using a similar recipe for a couple years now and I swear by it! So much better for you that frying! My only suggestion is to cook them for 30 minutes and flip them, then another 20 minutes. That way both sides crisp evenly. Also I found 450 works well too.

My family loves the recipe! I was looking for a simple recipe for wings and found the one. Thank you for sharing! I am going to reduce cumin next time because my cumin has a very strong taste. I tried to cut off washing the wired rack and place baking paper on it, make many holes with apple wooden skewer. It looks like it works! Probably better on a wired rack directly, because has some juice from wings on baking paper but definitely much less cleaning! Thank you again!

Cleaning the wire rack is difficult because we tend to dig in while it's hot....letting the bits dry on the rack. Get yourself one of those aluminum pans....the last few minutes of baking, heat some water and a to the pan, add some dish soap.....After the wings are removed from the rack, drop the rack in the pan of hot soapy water.....it loosens the bits so they don't get stuck and even if you go to bed....a few wipes in the morning and it's clean, with little effort. I have an aluminum pan that I ONLY use for cleaning the wire rack!
