Superb video! You always describe the places you are visiting in such great detail. Great narration. Mark and his family are wonderful, God bless them. Of all the wonderful places you have traveled to, great places that I’ve never seen before, what impress’s me that most is the friendship’s you have with the people of America. Lana looks like she was was having a blast!

Slava, you and your lovely lady are truly citizens of the world. As a fellow traveller, I always try to stress to people that haven’t had the privilege to travel-that we all have more in common than we do opposite. We are part of one of those 1960's simple houses on a bay in Alabama. It has thankfully survived many hurricanes except for the boat dock. Earlier this year the family got together with hammers, nails, and a pump to sink pilings and rebuilt the boat dock one more time. Maybe it will last a little while.

Sounds like a great idea. It is one of the only ways that I really like vanilla ice cream, and the oatmeal is a good source of fiber. Otherwise, I am all about flavors. 😊 Sometimes, I just dribble half and half on it. Eaten with a good cup of strong coffee, it is great and the apples and oatmeal inside allow me to convince myself that I am eating something healthy!🤣

Nice part of Florida, and a great host family. I've often wondered what insurance costs for such coastal residences, and is "Hurricane Insurance" available?
@pastormarkbrand
@pastormarkbrand 3 жыл бұрын
Insurance costs can be very expensive. The main thing affecting rates is which flood zone the house sits in. The Army Corps od Engineers issues flood zone maps every few decades with many different zones, each reflecting a certain level of risk. That dramatically affects rates. Thankfully, our house is in a part of our lot that is in the “x” zone, which means we are basically nearly zero flood risk. Salt water backed up from the Bay and soaked the roots of most our pine trees during the hurricane, though, and killed them, exactly where the flood zone maps said it would. Here is a link to what those kind of flood risk maps look like: hazards-fema.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=8b0adb51996444d4879338b5529aa9cd
