Just come across this video Dan, I have subscribed after watching one of your other videos, its also a thumbs up on this one. The broken bottle you found at 14:50, I have dug 3 of those, two of one size & a larger one, they are lovely bottles. Keep up the good work & posting the videos, take care & stay safe.

There were a lot of great bottles! It's amazing, I'm surprised because I don't dig too deep in Japan. He learned a lot! 👍

Thank you, how deep do you habe to dig in Japan? Some times here we have to dig up to about 15 ft haha
@b.d.Mchannel3 жыл бұрын
@@crusaderdanbottledigginguk In Japan, it's about 3 meters deep, and if you dig 1 meter, you'll get a bottle! 👍

Hi when you dig a narrow trench and gi deep you risk it collapsing and pinning you ,you are better to go much wider from the top . Also you look like you are loosing a lot of tip the way you fork it ,stay close to the bottom and tunnel safely and work your way up bit by bit ,your finds rate should increase. Good luck with your next dig where there's one ginger there will be more and the odd pot lid

Hi mate ye i could do with doing that a bit more to be honest, that tip is dodgy the ash is so soft but ill have to go more at the bottom. Thanks 👍

Solid clay at bottom - Fella, that could well be the capping over a lower tipping level of older stuff., could be thick but get through it to find the bottom of the tip.

Thanks mate i did try another day to go like 3 foot into it didnt change but maybe worth another go at some point

I think the metal bits came off a Victorian bed. They look like little ornaments. The Northern Mudlarks have found stuff like that.

Absolutely love your vids there brill. I've started bottle digging and my second search found an old cider bottle 🍾 do you by any chance know when they started putting braille on glass bottles. Found 2 and not sure of the age

I’m new to this! Could I please ask... is it something you need permission from the council to do? Surely people give you the odd look or two 😆 Brill video would have loved to find that poison bottle!

Do you always have to ask permission before digging or can you just do it without anyone knowing?
