Yeah the situation in Australia is pretty crazy. We own a couple of rental properties but refuse to play the game of squeezing tenants for more money all the time. We commit to not putting the rent up while there is a sitting tenant, and we did not take extra money from an applicant who offered to pay $30 a week above the asking price. We accepted their application but declined the extra money. It's just wrong the things that are going on in Australia right now.

Just watched your video about your apartment in Kampot and this one. This one seems much better than the one in Kampot. A bit more expensive, but much nicer in my opinion . The washing machine is almost worth the extra by itself! I really couldn’t deal with hand washing my clothes in a bucket! I did that for a while about 30 years ago…Never again! Pity about the noise from the pub though…The studio unit for $160 looks nice. Great videos! Many thanks!
@ForRiel Жыл бұрын
Yes, you're right. There is nowhere near as much stock in Kampot as there is in Siem Reap, and there is still a lot of vacancy in Siem Reap so there are good deals to be had. These things make the divide much more evident. Living without a washing machine was not fun, I must say, but I did really enjoy our time in Kampot. That’s a real shame with that very nicely appointed apartment and so handy to everything still that noise factor can catch out anyone .. I think for anyone looking at renting here in SR they do need to decide if quiet n lax is a main point as it’s very easy to go wrong. with it being such a tourist destination with loads of Bars and construction development going on 7 days a week maybe if people are looking to rent a place then then check them out at night as well in the daytime or ask some local people etc also we make sure we never choose a place to close to Pagodas as the funeral chanting can be extremely loud and sometimes quite regular and go on for days anyway Goodluck guys

Yeah, we visited the apartment at night before we moved in to check for noise - did all the right things, but the restaurant/bar changed its live music to every night. There's not much you can do. @ForRiel8 ай бұрын
Ah it's a tricky one because it's supposed to be open to anyone, but the reality is that people from the African continent generally have difficulties. Join the Visa and Work Permit Group on Facebook and read about people's experiences there. If you are from elsewhere, it is usually easy to get the E visa, and no need to provide evidence of purpose because the E visa is the stem for looking for work, business, and retirement extensions.

Beautiful place very good price such a shame but I'm sure the next home would be just as nice, if not any better (it's already perfect). Also if possible, consider a place when you first enter is the living room. Not going through kitchen or even bedroom first. It's just an Asian superstition thing. They say a kitchen or bedroom first home will have negative effect on health and career. Of course, only if you believe in those 😅😅 But then again it's more about the chi or air flow / circulation than any hocus-pocus crazy thing. None of that ✌😊 The right amount of sunlight and "air flow" makes an even more pleasant living 🌻
