Its a pretty sturdy pole, as long as you have the bottom camp tight I cant see it just giving out. I've had my R5 and a smaller teleprompter and a fairly heavy lens on one and it help fine.

No, the Elgato has a very specific way those accessories mount together that is specific to that arm system.

I haven't seen anything specifically like that. The closest to that is the actual legato version of this you can get a heavy desktop circular base that just sits on the desk. These aftermarket stands would not work with those bases however so you would have to get the elgato system.

Yes, it comes with a an adjustable ball head, as long as its not a SUPER heavy camera it should hold fine. If you have a heavy camera just put a better ball head on it.

Its great that this stand can hold twice the weight of an Elgato Master Mount, but its maximum height is practically the minimum height of the Elgato, which then extends to a height DOUBLE this unit. Not a real comparison/alternative.

If you’re mounting a camera you don’t need it that Tall lol. The Elgato height was because they were also using it for lights that may need to go higher. The height on this is plenty tall for a camera if you’re sitting at a desk.

It was shown multiple times that’s what happens when you skip around a video. It’s a ball head on a pole with a clamp there’s not but so much you can show of it. All the instances that it was shown it was shown with items sitting on top of them and mount it to a desk.
