This is my second video about Poecilotheria regalis. In this video you can see it eating (not feeding) and also its amazing camouflage and yellow warning colors. This species is my the most favorite one. Once I handled it but it’s quite fast and you never know what it’s going to do, but I don’t think it would bite me for no reason. Now it’s L7-L8 probably and I don’t know if it’s a male or female. But after it molts I’ll use my microscope to look closely to the exuvie (molt). If it sits on the cork bark it’s hard to recognize that there is some spider, its camouflage is brilliant - you probably wouldn’t see it if I haven’t shown it to you. Another amazing thing is its insensive yellow color on its legs and also the white stripe proving it’s regalis and not other pokies.
Name "Poecilotheria" means spotted wild beast. Name "regalis" means royal. There are currently 14 species of Poecilotheria (World Spider Catalog. 23.11.2015): fasciata, formosa, hanumavilasumica, metallica, miranda, ornata, rajaei, regalis, rufilata, smithi, striata, subfusca, tigrinawesseli and vittata.

I've been playing on piano since July 2012 and breeding tarantulas since October 2012.
Music was composed by me using Magix Music Maker and also my Digital stage piano Yamaha NP-V80 piaggero. I used only Soundpools (Moviescore). I own the rights to any music or shots.
Check my profile/channel to find many tarantulas, spiders, chameleons, mantids or some other interesting and unusual animals/pets.
Hope you enjoyed and more videos coming soon.
