Brilliant trick.You know, you can even throw in a face card to avoid suspicion.If all the cards seem to be in the order you put them in, then you can tell that they had selected the face card, right?
Squazzles Gamez i believe those are the lyrics to the song at the end of the video 😂😂

Great trick! Thanks for sharing. Tip: It's much easier to perform if you go through the deck first and put all the "psychic" cards upright (without an audience). That way when you're selecting each card, you don't give away clues by turning some cards upright and not turning others.

When I was young we had a bicycle deck with two bicycles, a wheel and 3 wings on the back. The wings were such that one was pointing up and the other two were pointing to the sides. I think it's called a league back. I did this trick as a young boy, having arranged the wings to all point in the same direction. Thanks Brian, this video brought back some fond memories.

If you happen to have a non-standard deck where every face is asymmetric, you can make it even more deceptive. Come up with a simple rule like "odd cards are right-side up, even cards are upside down," and as you go through the deck in the beginning, build your "psychic" pile out of cards that are following your rule. That way you can use slightly more cards (26 cards on average, instead of 22) and it'll look like you just picked random cards; there's no risk of someone calling you out for not picking any face cards. You also won't raise suspicion by turning cards around; the cards you use are the ones that are already set up the way you want.

I re-invented this trick like 8 or 9 years ago... I was like 10. As soon as I saw him sorting the 3 first cards, I knew what he was gonna do. Still my favorite trick.

One way that I like to end it is that I take a look at the cards and then count which order their card is at. Then I say: "Okay, I am going to play a game with you." I deal the cards, knowing the exact location of their card I secretly count to know where their card is. Then I say "Okay, you have to find YOUR card with the cards faced DOWN" (Sometimes I make piles of three, piles of four etc.) And I tell them that they have to guess. (Of course with multiple chances) And while you know where the card is, they will barely guess the exact card. It gives you a great reaction because it involves the audience and it puzzles them because it just gives them more questions to ask like "How did he know my card when he shuffled it without any funny moves" "How did he know which card was mine when it was faced down?"

This one was great, so simple and elegant. I'd do it telling them to say "that's not my card" on every card I show them to make it even more confusing (as if I was spoting the card from their tone of voice or something).

I came up with this trick, when I was a kid, all on my own. Fyi: can do with an entire deck, if it's a picture deck, or other asymmetrical back/front (although if the back is TOO asymmetrical, it's way too obvious, and requires some funny handling of the cards not to give it away)

I'm kinda surprised you've met professional magicians that were fooled. I thought of this trick myself as a kid (but without a "psychic card" setup, I just started with a part deck). I was reminded of it by the obviousness that the ace of spades has a top and bottom, then was certain by the way he kept the cards the same way when he ripple shuffled.

Scam School Been performing this trick for 20ish years. I use a reveal where I tell them to watch the cards and not react in the same way, however, I flip them one at a time and pretend to study their face. When I their card is flipped, I'll say "$5 says it'll be the very next card flipped" they take the bait every time and I flip their card face down.

i've got a deck where there are markings on the back that tell me if it's upside down or not...... well, i only found one of the markings but it's actually pretty genius. so, thanks scam school, i can perform this trick with any deck, or add a bit of variety with my own :D
@wayneelyard38638 жыл бұрын
Can also be done with Tally-Ho Circle Back cards, they have a VERY subtle one-way feature. But I do like this method for the showmanship of having some cards that "speak to you" more than others. And, I guess this also lets you use any deck that the spectator might give you.

I actually already knew this one except I use the back of the cards. some decks have a white outline around the back edge of the card and the top is thicker than the bottom or left is thicker than right this way you don't even have to look at the front of the cards and I think it's a lil better that way and more psychic. besides that I do it the exact same way

@xmbomagic You can put one symetric card in the psychic card pile, if someone picks it none of the cards will have changed direction, so you know it's that one, also remove some asymetric cards. do both and you could do hide what your doing better.
