Does anyone else see those blue squares that occasionally surround the pieces when a move is made? Is there any way to stop those?

Incredible analysis of strategy as always. I just finished rading Bevin Alexander's "How Great Generals Win." This game illustrates some of its major themes. Fischer deceiving Spasky into believing the main attack would come on the Q side. Making the passive Qc1 move to make Spasky think Fischer was not planning a major offensive. This is Hannibal, Napoleon, Rommel. Excellent work

ty as well for the analysis. I have watched a couple of them after the movie "Fisher against the world". The only thing I would suggest is finding a way to eliminate the black blocks when moving that are somewhat distracting.

I think fischer for saw the Rook King split before the combination on F7 with the large exchange. Amazing to be able to see that far ahead and find the weakness

has anyone seen Fischer's smile? That's chess at it's best

Fascinating...more please! (Although I thought that u could have gone through and spoken a little slower in some parts for those who are chess novices or speak English as a secondary language.)

Another great work, well done. After Black Bishop takes white pawn at E4, why did white Rook take bishop at E4? Isn't the better option Knight moves to H6 check?. Black pawn at G7 takes Knight at H6 and then continue as the game actually does by Rook taking bishop at E4. The difference being the exchanges are exactly the same but the move I propose makes black's 2 pawns on the king side double up and white has 3 pawns to face them.

Come on Bob! Not True! Fischer beat the weakest chess World champion Boris Spassky only 17 wins 10 losses! You can not lose 10 times against blunder maker Spassky! Capablanca would beat Spassky easily 8 wins 6 draws zero losses! Carlsen would beat Spassky 6 wins 6 draws zero losses! The highest tournament elo rating score is Fabiano Caruana 8,5/10 StLouis scoring elo rating 3080! Karpov 11/13 in Linares scoring 3040! Alekhine in San Remo 1930 elo score 3040! Over-rated Fischer and Kasparov their Best tournament scores only 2990! Fischer beat Spassky only 10 wins 15 draws 5 losses in 1992! Spassky was only 162rh world ranking and rated 2558 in 1992 Fischer score was only 58,33%! So we get Fischer was only 2617,78 elo player! Lasker won the New York Tournament in 1924 beating the world Best scoring 2875 elo! Fischer at age 49 2617,78 vs Lasker at age 55 2875! Fischer famous games lot of missis errors like against Stein famous Bishop f5! But earlier 26:Knight f7!! Wins easily! Fischer played Knight f3?? Fischer against Geller in 1967 flawed Master piece Siciliano Sozin Fischer played 17:exf7?? 17:Rook f6!! Wins easily!!

Carlsen is 100xtimes Better than Spassky! Now the crazy people claiming that Carlsen would lose against Fischer big time! Carlsen would win 25-30 games against Fischer easily because Spassky won 10 times!!

Fischer should have taken that 5 million dollar match with Karpov. The Dutch offered Fischer one million dollars match against Jan Timman todays value 3,6 million. We all would take those money win or lose.In the Soviet Union had 5 million chess players. In the USA only 50000.No one would had care if Fischer had lost.Fischer would had been a wealthy man.He took the match with the poor Spassky in 1992

My the old 32mgz computer played better than Spassky rook d7??? This 32mgz elo rating 2255 computer played 25 second thinking time better than the poor Spassky.Spassky played about 2000 elo points level in this Ruy Lopez. The return match in 1992 Spassky was 2598 elo rating player the world ranking very poor 167th in the world.Fischer only 2657 elo points level in 1992.He was out of the game 20 years.Dictator F.Marcos offered in 1975 5 million$ Fischer Karpov match.Todays money 21,6 million!

@ihateuutube isnt it a little easy to "see the tactic" after KC has highlighted the square the exchange is on pointed an arrow and showed how each piece involved was building pressure for that exchange?? doesnt take a strong player to see that, or did you think you deserved a cookie? I was referring to the brilliancy of fischer spotting the weakness and developing a plan and seeing that far ahead, with out KC's post match analysis to assist, Jack ass,...
