CRAIG, Bavaria is a Catholic State, so you're right, those are confession boothes. Looks like a big church for a smmall village. Yep, that is gold leaf, and everything that looks like Marble really is marble, ect. The church is the richest institution in all catholic countries, and none more so than Portugal, so you'll find nothing labelled "made in Hong Kong! As you said, not knowing your languages, really is a disadvantage for someone who loves Travel. Since i've gotten the hang of French and German, and some spanish, i've become much more interested in the history, geography and architecture during my travels.

Hi Craig, theres no rule in Germany to keep your house always like new, but you have to impress your neighbors by spending as much money as possible for expensive cars, houses espacially in small villages. Bavaria is a "rich" part of Germany in particular around the bigger cities like Munich. you can also find poorer regions where the houses and properties are not so nice.

That blue & white coat of arms in the church is bavarias coat of arms you have it rigth in your bike in the BMW banner !! beautifull church , roman catholic no doubt ,the medieval cript is wonderfull and the rest goes back upto the XVlll century in stile so you have a plethora of time and art in that place . thanks ,cheers!!

It might look similar but that's actually a UNESCO national monument shield introduced after World War II, to protect cultural goods during armed conflicts

So you consider learning German? Learning languages always is a good exercise for your brain, but German might be a good one to do it in! 😵💫 Yo know my comments, you know what it did to me!!1! 🤯 Plus, you shouldn't take Bavarian as being just German! I dealt with people from Bavaria whom I had no hope of understanding! I would say I knew them, but I don't for I couldn't understand what they said when they introduced themselves! 🥴 That church is a stunner, no doubt! 🤗
