Please please please dont stop diving like yall do. Im a diver myself and this channel puts me on the edge of my seat and makes me feel the anxiety I do when diving..lol it's so funny to hear all these people on her say get it and hurry up and go and other things. Guys come on the reason you love it so much is because Steve and Steph gives you the real feelings and anxiety of diving. I love the fact that y'all do this so when I can't go out and dive I can still get my adrenalin part of the dive fix :). On another note I couldn't work at these stores and throw this good stuff away. I've been on disability since 2010 and now on Oxygen full time so I'm looking for divers who would be willing to look for a few things for me & I would pay them a reasonable amount to ship to me...I feel the excitement & rush every time I watch their video....it brings back so many memories.....I too often find myself on the edge when Steph & Steven are hauling ass getting the good stuff! 👍😬

@CarlottaHall6 жыл бұрын
@@marcelx8369 the schools do not get enough money to be able to purchase even basic school supplies for children, and many families cannot afford to either. Teachers feel the need to purchase some things because if not them, who? Good people like Steve and Steph gather and donate to their friend who teaches at one of the many schools with disadvantaged kids. I used to collect lots if pens and pads of paper and other items given by drug company reps to the doctors office I worked at and give it to my kid's elementary school before the drug companies were banned from doing that anymore. I wish that the stores like Staples would find it better to donate overstock and discontinued items rather than trash them, but the tax write off is much greater than donating for the corporation.

@@marcelx8369 Most of us buy extras for our students. I teach at university so students are more prepared with materials for class though textbooks are very expensive and we don't buy those for our students. But, I buy extras for my students. Steve and Steph, I had to pause the video. I cannot believe what I am seeing here. I am from India (not Indiana in US but India the country). I am a University Professor and I cannot comprehend what I am seeing here. How can America waste so much? Those books, I don't know what they cost there but from what they look like they would be extremely expensive here in my country. I mean they are just fancy. But I cannot fathom how anybody can put new books into a trash bin. I belong to the Hindu religion and we worship knowledge as a Goddess Saraswathi. Every year we keep our notebooks and textbooks for pooja for 3 days (we keep them before the Goddess, lighting lamps and pray for her blessings in our education). If we accidentally step on a book, we touch it to ask our Goddess for her forgiveness. Any used book, textbook, magazine or paper is always sold for a tiny amount to people who collect them for recycling. No paper is ever wasted and it is a huge industry. I hope you can imagine my shock by now. I am so happy to see that you are retrieving them instead of sending them into landfills. I know books and education costs a 100 times in your country compared to what it is here. Even though we teach exactly the same thing (and that includes text books). I wish Americans gave more respect to books and education in general and donate to students who are economically underprivileged but academically excellent instead of throwing brand new stuff away. Once again, a big salute for what you are doing. God bless.

I dont understand why these companies dont have sidewalk sales. they could sell me an old planner for a buck and id change the dates! they would get something! that is just stupid of the store.
@gravydavey18575 жыл бұрын
or you could wait up to 14 years until the calendar repeats-There are only 14 'calendars' with a year starting on each day of the week (7) and then 7 more when it is leap year.

I agree with you they should have sidewalk sales!!!

@@camis.1347 the planner pieces can be used. It's just a matter of knowing that style, how to take it apart (for most of us for the next year), and/or what to use (binding, dividets, etc.). They're SO expensive I use the parts from the year I bought one and create new ones with the bits n guts every year (year 4 of my own creation for my 2019 planner). There IS ALWAYS a way to use something others waste. Makes me sad and angry about our "throw it away" mentality. Just imagine what a high school art class could do and then sell them as a fundraiser for what schools can no longer provide. There's always a way .....

Steph, keep a small dive kit in each vehicle with an apron found from previous dive, one with the most or deepest pockets. In the pockets keep a few of your bags from Carol, and your gloves. That way you can always have it folded and tied up out of the way when not in need but there ready to use for the moment you come across any dumpster. Just put the apron on and go to work. That way if people do find you there, they will see your work apron and see an "employee of some sort which will make them less likely to question you. Your apron with also help keep your clothes clean, save your butt pocket and you will always have a place to put your gift cards! Gloves will be right there as well as bags in case you need something clean and don't want to run back to the car. Just an all round time saver, leaving you able to dig, dig, dig all the more efficiently. Switch your aprons to match your mood! Lol I absolutely loved this dive! Hello to the guys. Much love and always EYL!!!

Some kind of tool belt or fancy tool/grilling belt would be great for lots of pockets. You could put it on over the apron too. Or kind of sew it to the apron.

Helene Harrison yes those green folders. They would have been great for the teacher. Oh well. Hopefully someone found them. Even the old planners. People recycle them by putting stickers over the new dates. Even the kids might want to use them for scrapbooking. Some planners even provide the stickers. Hopefully someone took them and will recycle them. Awesome finds.

I just started watching you a week ago. I've binge watched ever since. I'm Dee Hughes from pontypridd Wales UK. And I think you are great. All our dumpsters are all locked up around our stores it's so sad cos we used to do it! I am so envious. But u always get those that leave a mess behind! It's not fair to the rest of us. But yep I been watching tonight where you had been hiding in ur car the night before watching Alta is it? And asking if people wanted to pay shipping for clothes u have left. I would but it's to expensive from there to here or I would!! Yes give to charity if you want but charity also belongs at home, you have family to take care of. I have 5 kids and 8 grandkiddies 1 just been born quite a few weeks ago and 1 just turned 1 I haven't seen yet and 7 I haven't seen for too long! And I miss em all. Saw my mum and dad from a distance today and it hurts not to cwtch and cuddle but hopefully won't be 2 long a? Stay safe luv ya both xxxx
