THE VERY FIRST - “Amazing Discoveries” was a late-night insomniac fueled INFOMERCIAL! Before the internet, Before QVC, and Before Billy Maze … Mike Levy (1948 - 2003,) was “America’s Pitch Man” for products “As Seen On TV” you see in today’s retail.
Most of these clips aired between 1989 - 1992 when cable networks signed off the air at midnight!

Of course the CO2 wasn't effective on the Curtain, it is for Class B and C fires, a Class A extinguisher(water or Foam) would have been fine. Halon has been discontinued as it becomes Poisonous when it comes into contact with Hot Surfaces

I just looked up the safety data sheet for halon. It didn't indicate that it becomes toxic when it comes in contact with hot surfaces, but it is an asphyxiate.

Yea, it's a lot overboard. But that's how these infomercials were back in the 90's. The one that always stuck out in my mind was the Don Lapre Making Money Secrets. And if you watch his infomercial, he does the same sort of extreme gesturing like Ian is doing, and the same kind of excited talk, that's to get you hooked on the stuff they're selling. I used to watch that Money Making Secrets non-stop and would always think, man I wonder if that really works. I never bought it, kind of wanted to, then years and years later when I went to look Don Lapre up, I found out he'd committed suicide.
