In fact I was thinking, I have the perfect spot for it here in my house in Alabama, USA. By the way, while most people in America would call this a hutch, there are pockets of areas where these are still called a Welsh Dresser. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful job. It’s a beautiful piece - definitely a work of art! I love the replacement for the glass in the hutch. For me, the drawers were too much - “gilding the lily.” I would have left them plain, but to each his own. A beautiful piece of furniture created from someone’s discard.

After days off sanding, you can be so proud on this piece off furniture ! This is so nice to see and this piece almost looking so classic now and also antic ! So nice to see your dedication to the this even when the job is going to be so boring, you still going strong !! I love it Jay. Not a big fan of pine either and the stain looks gorgeous on it. That hardware is beautiful and of course it's great to see our (not so) fluffy friend back. Aw and giving us kisses too. Wee sweetheart. One of my neighbours has a siamese cat. I met it for the first time yesterday. Came straight over and gave my hand a head boop. Little darling boy. Very interesting 3D effect. I'm not a fan of pine either. Mostly the knots and yellow tint. I really like the oak tint and brass hardware! It looks great!!

Bless you.. Love the 3D look... Chalk paint washes away with water and wipe with a wet rag. If it has wax, a wipe with mineral spirit first breaks it down. If varnish, a scraper first. That's why I love chalk paint, it's reversible, and the colors blend so easy.
