Here's how the easy card trick plays. You hand the deck to a volunteer (let's call them the spectator) and explain, "Think of any time between 1 and 12. Don't tell me your chosen time, just keep it a secret in your mind."
You take the deck back and spread the cards face down on the table - casually dealing out twelve cards in a circle, mimicking the layout of a clock face. The top card represents 12 o'clock, and you continue placing cards counter-clockwise. At the end of this card trick, you not only reveal the secretly chosen time, but correctly predict the playing card that was dealt at that the position. The prediction has been sitting in plain view the entire time.
With a little practice, The Clock trick will become a captivating part of your magical repertoire. So go forth, astound your friends, and have fun being a time-telling magician!

You’re very observant! You’re right, there’s a mistake in the performance. Even with this mistake, I would have realized that the count was off when I didn’t see the key card (at 12:00). Thanks for keeping me honest. Or at least as honest as a magician can be.

Speaking of clock tricks, let's see you make Big Ben disappear. Chances are, you'd do what was done with the Statue of Liberty and have the cameras moved so that they're not focused on the clock.
