Thanks for this video. It gives me a good perspective on the differences on resin viscosity. When you mention low vs high viscosity does that equal "thin" vs. "thick" viscosity?

I notice that she uses alcohol ink for the mocha which you don’t have linked in your description - you have burnt umber acrylic ink. I would think the alcohol ink is what makes a lot of the neat effect? Will it work only using acrylic ink?
@SummerGirlDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes, I wasn't able to find the same alcohol ink on amazon unfortunately. In my experience I was able to achieve really cool and similar effects with acrylic ink. I believe the trick is to use pigments with different densities (a pigment paste for high density mixed with a pigment with low density - alcohol ink, acrylic ink, or mica powders). I dug a little deeper and found this alcohol ink, though I haven't tried it I'm not sure how similar the color is amzn.to/3DeC2YK
@paula_arte.paulinazawitkowska3 жыл бұрын
I bought all the linked colors and the effect was disappointing... I love this turquoise on the edges, but unfortunately it didn't appear on my coasters :( maybe it's a fault of acrylic ink instead of alcohol ink?
@SummerGirlDesigns3 жыл бұрын
@@paula_arte.paulinazawitkowska I'm sorry to hear that! Resin is very unpredictable and I find it nearly impossible to achieve the exact same effect every time because there’s so many different factors that play into it (I have made the same set of coasters several times and they come out different every time) Don’t get discouraged though, it’s all part of the process :) I also have espresso alcohol ink linked in the description 💓

2days ago I did my first work with resin but some areas still didn’t dry. What should I do?
@SummerGirlDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Likely the resin wasn’t mixed well enough which will cause it to not cure properly. Make sure to mix your resin for 3-4 minutes
@terrasholley3373 жыл бұрын
Hope did she add a top coat after de-molding? I've never done that...
