If the incoming video says Steve McDonald, no matter what he is making, I watch it because I know I am going to learn something worth knowing. 😊

I am a beginner and I enjoy seeing your comparisons so I can get a good idea of what I need to buy for certain things. Keep up the comparisons I like that. Very helpful.

This is great Steve, I have used so many different resin's and find it is so difficult to find one that doesn't leave any marks - Light surface scratches and marks are always going to show... but this is a pretty good experiment as I make coasters, tables and surfaces which are constantly in use

How did you know exactly what I was searching for this week? I just made coasters as a housewarming gift but I was looking for a heat resistant top coat. I just hope they sell this brand in the US!

Steve! Do you prefer the Teexpert to the JDiction /Let's Resin epoxy 2-part resin? I need recommendations please, it's for coasters and such, not small stuff like jewelry - I use UV for that, but a bit larger but not huge projects. Any suggestions? I see Teexpert suggests no thicker than 1/4" (thus it's called tabletop) so, which do you recommend for deeper pours, JDiction or Let's Resin?

Can you try a stainless steel coffee mug? It would hold more heat I would think.
@jlavall2005 Жыл бұрын
Just wondering if you have ever tried the Vallejo Special FX ink for the frost effect they create.
@Cineemi Жыл бұрын
Love this!!! Question about the glitter one. What was its thickness? Still new to resin but from a blog post I read about the difference between the types of epoxies it said that table top resin had to be poured in thin layers. Could the thickness have affected the curing on that one coaster? Could you try the experiment again using a deep pour and see if it works as well?

Can you use this resin for regular molds?
@tneilson96 Жыл бұрын
As always brilliant work . One little question is the uk link for the teexpert resin the same resin as the tabel top one you used . Only when i click the uk link the one that comes up doesn't say table top . thank for your tests it really dos help us all so much 💜💜

Hi Steve. Love your channel!! Have learnt so much from you. I wanted to ask you… could you use acrylic nail powder in resin? Might be a stupid question as I don’t know what it’s made from, but was wondering 🤗😁
@Made4YouResin Жыл бұрын
Yes you can, I do it all the time. You can colour the resin with any dry product and wet products should be used in small amounts

I've never used the table top resin before, does it take 4 weeks to cure?

Excellent test. I’ve tried buying the resin but, it seems it is only available in US. I’ve checked their UK sales page and am now confused (not hard for me though)

When he says members he means the paid members who have access to a members only FB group. Membership is really reasonable (like $6 US) and the wealth of information, support and fun we have in that group is priceless. Best thing I ever did was join. :)

Great testing. Is it just me or does the resin look blue out of the bottle? It looks clear once cured but still looks blue to me. And it's not because the desktop is blue that I'm saying that lol
