Very beautiful. I think Elvis laughs just a little at the beginning when he says ‘baby.’ That was probably all it took for this cut to not get a wide release. You’d think with the tech available now that could be fixed. Thanks for sharing this.

So the man responsible for creating this Jamie Kelley found in his research that an emergency vehicle passing near the studio caught Elvis off guard just as he began singing and once he started laughing that unfortunately led to the song being abandoned. Beautiful song written by Mac Davies, whose lyrics are not written in the order this is performed.
