The tape is why it left those creases on the corners. The material needs to stretch and it's not able to because of the tape. You really only need the tape on the upper and lower parts of the material. In fact, if the material is good enough, you can pull it hard enough to the point that you don't require using tape at all. The tight fitment and hand corners hold it in place for the most part.

FYI I bought this cover (the all leather model) and installed it myself thanks to Miguel Dsm. Looks amazing, but after a year or so of DD the cover is disintegrating on the touch points. So... good product for the price if you don't drive your car too much, but not so good for a DD.

Miguel Dsm looks like their website doesn’t have any Mitsu as old as a 2g. The one wheel resembles a 2g wheel but it has push buttons on it and all so it’s probably slightly different.
